Abdulhakim Nasalon, Top 1 Most Wanted Zamboanga City, ASG member and also a member of Ajijul Group, 45 years old, male, married and a resident of Sitio Niyog-Niyog, Barangay Muti, Zamboanga City was arrested by PNP operatives of Zamboanga City Police Station Zamboanga City Police Office – Intel Branch ,Regional Intelligence Unit 9, Criminal Investigation and 74th Infantry Battalion, Philippine Army in an operation against wanted person in connection with the Simultaneous Enhance Managing Police Operation (SEMPO) at Barangay Curuan, Zamboanga City at 11:30 a.m. of May 24, 2021. The arrest was made by virtue of warrant of arrest docketed under Criminal Case Nos: i-8234, i-8235 for Rape (2 counts) with no bail recommended issued by Hon. Vicente S. De La Plaza II, Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region Branch 36, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay dated February 16, 2021. Arrested accused was brought to R.T. Lim MPS for documentation prior turn over to court concerned.
A member of Western Mindanao Regional Party Committee (WMRPC) and a member of Regional Urban Committee (RUC), Zamboanga Sibugay Chapter surrendered. The surrender of the CTG members were initiated by elements of Zamboanga Sibugay Police Provincial Office – Intel Branch (lead unit) and 2nd Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Mobile Force Company, Kabasalan Municipal Police Station, Anti-Kidnapping Group 9, Regional Intelligence Unit 9, and 44th Infantry Battalion, Philippine Army at Barangay Lacnapan, Kabasalan, Zamboanga Sibugay at 3:40 p.m. of May 24, 2021. The CTG members also surrendered with one (1) unit cal. 45 pistol with one magazine and five (5) ammunition; one (1) unit homemade shotgun with five (5) cartridges, and one (1) unit hand grenade. They are presently under the custody of Zamboanga Sibugay Police Provincial Office – Intel Branch for custodial debriefing and proper disposition.
A member of MAKIBAKA (Makabayang Kilusan ng Bagong Kababaihan), an underground organization of Gabriela, a part of National Democratic Front of CPP-NPA surrendered at about 3:00 p.m. of May 24, 2021. The surrender of the CTG member was facilitated by joint elements of 1st Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Mobile Force Company together with Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Intelligence Unit, National Intelligence Coordinating Agency, and Tukuran Municipal Police Station. The CTG surrenderee is now under the custody of 1st Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company, Headquarters, Camp Maj. Reginaldo C. Abelon, Lumbia District, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur for debriefing and documentation.
A member of MRGU, WMRPC, based in Barangay Quezon, Surigao Del Sur surrendered at about 3:30 p.m. of May 24, 2021 at Tabina, Zamboanga del Sur. The surrender was facilitated by Tabina Municipal ELCAC Task Force. The former CTG member personally turned over one (1) unit of SSW 357 Magnum revolver without serial number, with five (5) live ammunitions with holster. He also signed an Oath of Allegiance presided by Municipal Mayor Anthony A. Dayondon and witnessed by Local Chief Legislative and members, Municipal DSWD and 53rd 1st Infantry Division, Philippine Army, Malim Detachment commander. The former CTG member is now under the custody of custody of Acting Vice Mayor Alex Alde Amores for further community reintegration.
Jouven Taguba Mangubat, 36 years old, male, farmer and resident of Purok Orchidz, Barangay Palomoc, Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay was arrested by joint PNP elements of Titay Municipal Police Station (MPS) (lead unit) and 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company in a law enforcement operation through service of warrant of arrest at Purok Orchidz, Barangay Palomoc, Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay at 4:10 p.m. of May 24, 2021. The arrest was made by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of Rape (2 counts), docketed under Criminal Case Nos. i-8398 and i-8399, issued by Hon. Vicente S. De La Plaza II, Presiding Judge RTC9, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 36, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay issued on May 10, 2021 with no bail recommended. Confiscated items during the operation were: three (3) pieces of small sachets of suspected Shabu with estimated weigh of 0.224 grams and value of ₱ 1,523.00, 1 piece of paper, and 1 piece of ₱ 500.00 bill as marked money. Arrested person and confiscated items are now under the custody of Ipil MPS for proper disposition.
Nelia Salibat Gomonod, 46 years old, elementary graduate, single, hospital utility worker, resident of Nuebo 2, Barangay Sanito, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay was arrested by Municipal Drug Enforcement Team of Ipil Municipal Police Station (MPS) and 2nd Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Mobile Force Company in a drug buy-bust operation at Purok Pines 1, Barangay Sanito, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay at 7:30 p.m. of May 24, 2021. Confiscated items in his possession were: one (1) small sachet of suspected Shabu with estimated weight of 0.057 grams and two (2) small sachets of suspected Shabu with estimated weight of 0.169 grams (possession) all with estimated weight of 0.226 grams and value of ₱ 1, 536.00, one (1) piece of paper, and one (1) piece ₱ 500.00 bill (marked money). Arrested person and confiscated items are now under the custody of Ipil MPS for proper disposition.
Charlito Banguis y Lumosad, 54 years old, construction worker, married, and a resident of Barangay Kawayan, Alicia, Zamboanga Sibugay was arrested by elements of Alicia Municipal Police Station and Bonifacio Municipal Police Station (MPS) in a law enforcement operation through service of warrant of arrest at Purok 1, Barangay Tiaman, Bonifacio Misamis Occidental at about 9:30 p.m. of May 24, 2021. The arrest was made by virtue of warrant of arrest for three (3) counts of Rape docketed under Criminal Case Nos. IM-16-1112, IM-16-1113, IM-16-1114 issued by Hon. Josefino P. Bael, Presiding Judge RTC 9 Branch 31, Imelda, Zamboanga Sibugay dated march 14, 2017. arrested person is now under the custody of Bonifacio MPS for proper documentation prior turn-over to court of origin.
Jonathan Valles Rotina, 34 years old, rubber tapper, single, ALS graduate and a resident of Purok Azucena, Kitabog, Zamboanga Sibugay was arrested by Municipal Drug Enforcement Team of Titay Municipal Police Station (MPS) and 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company in a drug buy-bust operation at Purok Sampaguita, Barangay Kitabog, Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay at 10:20 p.m. of may 24, 2021. Confiscated items in his possession were: five (5) sachets of suspected Shabu with estimated weigh of 0.150 grams and value of ₱ 1,020.00, one (1) piece of ₱ 500.00 buy bust money, one (1) Oppo cellular phone and one (1) piece blue lighter. Arrested person and confiscated items are now under the custody of Titay MPS for proper disposition.
Patrick Muyargas, 25 years old, married; Arsimar Alisani, 43 years old, married; Sabtorin Sebastian, 32 years old, married were arrested by PNP personnel of Ipil Municipal Police Station (MPS) in a check point at Purok Ipil-Ipil, Barangay Magdaup, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay at 3:10 a.m. of May 25, 2021. The suspects were on board a Nissan UV with plate number KCU 6722 which they halted at their military checkpoint containing smuggled cigarettes namely: twenty-five (25) cases of Fort, twenty one (21) cases Cannon, 1 case of Astro with market value of P 843,000.00. Arrested personalities are now under the custody of Ipil MPS for temporary detention, confiscated items are under the custody of said police station for proper disposition.
Arafat Simbing y Sandaluddin, 38 years old, single, jobless, college level, and a resident of Jhonston subdivision, Barangay San Jose, Cawa-Cawa, Zamboanga City was arrested by Station Drug Enforcement Team of Zamboanga City Police Station 4 in a drug buy-bust operation in connection with the Simultaneous Enhance Managing Police Operation (SEMPO) at Barangay San Jose Cawa-Cawa, Zamboanga City at 5:10 p.m. of May 24, 2021. Recovered during the operation were two (2) sachets of suspected Shabu with estimated value of ₱ 5,000.00 weighing 0.73 grams and two (2) bills of ₱ 100.00 marked money. He is presently under the custody of said Station while confiscated items were brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.
Expedito De Jesus y Dela Cruz, 52 years old, male, single and a resident of Sitio Pucutin, Barangay Sibulao, Zamboanga City. Police operatives of Zamboanga City Police Station 9 and Zamboanga City Police Station 1, and Highway Patrol Group, MV/MC Patrol Team conducted operation against most wanted person in connection with the Simultaneous Enhance Managing Police Operation (SEMPO) at Sitio Pucutin, Barangay Sibulao, Zamboanga City at 5:00 p.m. of May 24, 2021. He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of Murder with Criminal Case No. 21676 with no bail bond recommended for his temporary liberty issued and signed by Hon. Danilo M Bucoy, Assisting Judge, RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Brach 17, Zamboanga City dated September 3, 2013. He is presently under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 9 prior turn over to the concerned court.
Jomar Tinguha y Dela Cruz a.k.a. “Jomaraul Candido y Dela Cruz”, 24 years old, male, single, jobless, elementary level, and a resident of Barangay Mercedes, Zamboanga City was arrested by personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 5 in an anti-illegal drugs operation in relation to Simultaneous Enhance Managing Police Operation (SEMPO) at Zone 5, Cariagas, Barangay Mercedes, Zamboanga City at about 11:00 p.m. of May 24, 2021. Recovered during the operation were even (7) heat sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated value of ₱ 408, 000.00 weighing 60 grams, one (1) Samsung Keypad Cellphone, one (1) big pouch, one (1) set transparent plastic sachet and Five (5) pieces of ₱ 100.00 bills as marked money. Said subject person is now under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 5 in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered items will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.
Adsar Sumahaji y Musad a.k.a. “Adsar”, 36 years old, male, married, jobless, elementary level, and a resident of Bench Drive, Barangay Arena Blanco, Zamboanga City was arrested by PNP personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 6 in an anti-illegal drugs operation in relation to Simultaneous Enhance Managing Police Operation (SEMPO) at Bench Drive, Barangay Arena Blanco, Zamboanga City at about 11:30 p.m. of May 24, 2021. Recovered during the operation were five (5) heat sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected Shabu with an estimated value of ₱ 6, 200.00 weighing 0.9 grams and two (2) pieces of ₱ 100.00 bills as marked money. Suspect is now under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 6 in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered items will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.
Edelberto Narzabal Jr y Benzon a.k.a. “Enoy”, 31 years old, male, single, truck driver, and a resident of Gov. Ramos, Barangay San Roque, Zamboanga City was arrested by PNP personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 7 in a law enforcement operation through service of search warrant in relation to Enhanced Managing Police Operation (SEMPO) at 11:15 p.m. of May 24, 2021. Confiscated during the operation were five (5) heat sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected Shabu with an estimated value of ₱ 70, 720.00 weighing 10.4 grams and one (1) coin purse. The operation was made by virtue of search warrant for violation of R.A. 9165 with search warrant no. 18-2021 issued by Presiding Judge Hon. Eric D. Elumba, Branch 13, 9th Judicial Region, Zamboanga City dated May 24, 2021. Suspect and confiscated items are presently under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 7 for proper disposition.
John Albert Palomar y Rue, 31 years old, male, single, jobless, college level, and a resident of Zone 8, Barangay Ayala, Zamboanga City was arrested by PNP personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 10 in a law enforcement operation through service of search warrant in relation to Enhanced Managing Police Operation (SEMPO) at 11:30 p.m. of May 24, 2021. The operation was made by virtue of search warrant for violation of R.A. 9165 with search warrant no. 19-2021 issued by Presiding Judge Hon. Eric D. Elumba, Branch 13, 9th Judicial Region, Zamboanga City dated May 24, 2021. Confiscated during the operation were fifteen (15) heat sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected Shabu with an estimated value of ₱ 25, 160.00 weighing 3.47 grams and one (1) piece coin purse. Arrested person and confiscated items are presently under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 10 for proper disposition.
Brian Sanchez y Esolana a.k.a “Bombi”, 43 years old, male, separated, online seller, was arrested by Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) of Pagadian City together with 2nd Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company in an anti-illegal drugs operation at Purok Spring, Barangay Sta. Lucia, Pagadian City at 10:45 p.m. of May 24, 2021. Confiscated during the operation were one (1) piece of small transparent plastic sachet containing substance suspected Shabu, four (4) pieces of big size transparent plastic sachets containing suspected Shabu weighing 39 grams with estimated market value of ₱ 265,200.00; one (1) big transparent plastic cellophane use as container; d.) one (1) VIVO Y11 cellular phone; and one (1) of ₱ 1, 000 bill as marked money. He is now temporarily detained at Pagadian City Police Station while appropriate charge for violation of R.A 9165 also known as “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002” is now being prepared for filing in court.
Ivy Docto y Bayubay, 44 yrs. old, female, single, member MRGU of WMRPC and a resident of Sitio Lasac, Buburay, Dimataling, Zamboanga del Sur was arrested by PNP personnel of Tukuran Municipal Police Station together with Zamboanga del Sur Police Provincial Office – Intel Branch and 2nd Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company in an intel driven operation thru service of warrant of arrest at Camp Kuta Major Cesar Sang-an 1st Infantry “Tabak” Division Upper Pulacan, Labangan Zamboanga del Sur at about 9:00 p.m. of May 17, 2021. The arrest was made by virtue of warrant of arrest for violation of R.A. 11479 “The Anti-Terrorism Act of 2020” with criminal case no. 15531-2K21 issued by Hon. Romeo Tenorio Descalla, Presiding Judge, RTC Branch 19, 9th Judicial Region, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur dated April 14, 2021 with no bail recommended.
Joven Lumacad Empasis, 27 years old, male, single, welder, resident of Barangay. Bago, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte was arrested by PNP personnel of Sindangan Municipal Police Station (MPS) in a drug buy-bust operation at Barangay. Bago, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte, at 12:40 p.m. of May 24, 2021. Recovered during the operation were the following: one (1) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected Shabu as buy-bust item; five-hundred-peso bill (₱ 500.00) as buy-bust money; four (4) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected Shabu placed in a matchbox (possession); and one (1) piece twenty-peso bill and 1 piece ten-peso coin. Estimated weight of shabu is about 0.4 grams with estimated value of ₱ 2, 500.00. Suspect was brought to Sindangan MPS for filing of appropriate charges to court.
Patricia Shane Carreon Saldivar, female, single, 22 years old, jobless and a resident Barangay Turno, Dipolog City was arrested by police operatives of Dipolog City Police Station (CPS) in a drug buy-bust operation at School Zone, Barangay Turno, Dipolog City at 7:40 p.m. of May 24, 2021. Confiscated during the operation were two (2) sachets of suspected Marijuana; one (1) big size heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected Marijuana; one (1) piece of five-hundred-peso (₱ 500.00) bill bearing as buy bust money; two hundred twenty pesos (₱ 220.00) in different denomination as proceeds money; one (1) piece Marlboro empty pack served as container of suspected Marijuana; one (1) unit Oppo Reno 2f; one (1) handbag serving as container of all items. Estimated street value of confiscated illegal drugs amount to seven thousand five hundred pesos (₱ 7,500.00) and estimated weight of 50 grams. Suspect was brought to Dipolog CPS pending filing of formal complaint. Cases for violation of R.A. 9165 were readied for filing in court against the suspect.
Karim Abdurahman y Sarona, 36 years old, married, fisherman and a resident of Purok 5, Barangay Poblacion, Salug, Zamboanga del Norte was arrested by PNP personnel of Salug Municipal Police Station (MPS) in an anti-illegal drug operation at Barangay. Poblacion , Salug, Zamboanga del Norte at 11:35 p.m. of May 24, 2021. Confiscated from his possession were two (2) sachets of suspected Shabu placed inside an empty Mentos container, one (1) piece of ₱ 500.00 bill as buy bust money, one (1) sachet of suspected Shabu (buy-bust item), one (1) piece of ₱ 50.00 bill; two (2) pieces of ₱ 20.00 bill. Confiscated items have an estimated weight of 5 grams with an estimated street value of ₱ 34,000.00. He is now under the custody of Salug MPS for proper disposition.
Aripin Amad Ibno, 56 years old, married, driver was arrested by Municipal Drug Enforcement Team of Siocon Municipal Police Station (MPS), PNP personnel of 2nd Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Mobile Force Company and 905th Maneuver Company in law enforcement operation through service of search warrant at Barangay. Bucana, Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte at1:30 am of May 25, 2021. Confiscated items during the operation were 3 large sachets of suspected Shabu (possession item) and 1 large empty heat sealed plastic transparent sachet. Estimated weight of confiscated shabu is 8 grams amounting to ₱ 54,400.00 pesos. The operation was made by virtue of search warrant no.2021-09 issued by Hon. Anthony B. Galleposo, Presiding Judge of 4th MCTC, Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte, 9th Judicial Region dated May 20, 2021 at Barangay Bucana, Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte. Confiscated items will be brought to Provincial Crime Laboratory Office for Chemical Examination and the suspect is now under the custody of Siocon MPS.
A fire incident transpired at Alejo Alvarez St., Barangay Zone 1, Zamboanga City at 1:20 a.m. of May 25, 2021 wherein a two storey Residential Building (Dr. Enriquez Dental Clinic) owned by Rafhael Enriquez, male, legal age and a two (2) storey boarding house owned by Marisa Atilano with seven (7) rooms made up of light materials were totally damaged by fire. Investigation revealed that before the incident, one of the boarder known as Ms. Narisa Puyos overheard a popping sound coming from the room of a certain “Roy Benson”. Thereafter, a burning smell and smoke suddenly came out of the room which allegedly was the starting point of the fire. Fire out was declared at 2:22 a.m. of May 25, 2021 with an estimated cost of damage amounting to ₱ 500, 000.00. No casualty was reported during the incident.
