Police Officer and a Driver Dead in Motor Vehicle Traffic Accident in Labangan
A vehicular accident transpired at 9:35 PM of July 9, 2021 along National Highway, Purok Salingsing, Balintawak, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur involving a black Ford Ranger with plate number NBQ-9309 driven by Omar E. Tampugao, 35 years old, resident of Dalapang, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur, registered under the name of Brando Khalif S. Jally DBA Speedcure Pharma, and a red three-wheeler cab (Bao-Bao) with cab number 1374 driven by Roy Divinagracia, resident of Purok Santan, Buenavista, Pagadian City, with passenger PLT. Venus Jagus Dela Peña, of legal age, married, active member of the Philippine National Police assigned at Pagadian City Police Station and resident of Balintawak, Pagadian City. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, the Ford Ranger was travelling from Dumalinao to Pagadian City proper, upon reaching the place of incident, it accidentally collided with the Three-wheeler cab which at the time was traversing on the opposite lane from city proper to Barangay Balintawak, Pagadian City. Further, the Ford Ranger bumped into a house occupied by Jimmy Panoncial and his daughter Jillian Panoncial. Consequently, both vehicles incurred damages while the driver of the three-wheeler cab and his passenger PLT. DELA PEÑA to include the two other victims Jimmy Panoncial and Jillian Panoncial were all injured and were brought to Aisah Hospital, San Pedro District, Pagadian City for medical treatment, however, Roy Divinagracia and PLT. Venus Jagus Dela Peña died while undergoing medical treatment at the said hospital.
Shooting Incident
A shooting incident transpired at Purok 3, Pantano, Barangay Malagutay, Zamboanga City at 11:15 PM of July 9, 2021. Victim was identified as Rudy Baldado, 49 years old, male, married, and a resident of Green Valley Subdivision, Barangay San Roque, Zamboanga City while suspect was identified as Abdulhakim Abah, 38 years old, male, married, driver, of Barangay Talon-Talon, Zamboanga City. Both victim and suspect are employed as security guards in TESDA Malagutay. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, victim was on duty in the said establishment and was having a drinking spree with the suspect when a heated argument ensued. This prompted the suspect to grab the company issued Shotgun from the victim and shot him. The victim sustained gunshot wounds on his right elbow and lower chest and was rushed to Zamboanga City Medical Center for treatment. Zamboanga City Police Station 8 conducted hot-pursuit operation which resulted in the arrest of the suspect. Recovered from the crime scene were one (1) Shotgun 12 GA, one (1) fired shotgun shell and two (2) live shotgun shells which was then turned-over to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.
Stabbing Incident
A stabbing incident transpired at Carpets Motor Parts, Purok Bougainvillea, Barangay Santo Niño, Tukuran, Zamboanga Del Sur at around 10:00 AM July 9, 2021 wherein the suspect was identified as Mahader Rollen Yusop, 35 years old, male, and a resident of Purok Baclado, Barangay Tinotungan, Tukuran, Zamboanga Del Sur, while victim was identified as Roger Salde Quiño, 51 years old, male, and a resident of Purok Mauswagon, Barangay Sto. Niño, Tukuran, Zamboanga del Sur. Initial investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim and suspect were having heated argument relative to their work in Carpets Motor Parts. That accordingly victim was annoyed by the repeated words uttered by the suspect and at the same time pointing the star screw driver towards the victim, that prompted the victim to slap the suspect. Right after, the suspect stabbed the victim several times hitting in the left hand and abdomen. Victim was rushed to Zamboanga del Sur Medical Center for medical treatment, while suspect was immediately arrested by the responding PNP personnel and was brought to Tukuran Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
Construction Worker Arrested in Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Baliwasan
Station Drug Enforcement Team of Zamboanga City Police Station 6 conducted drug buy-bust operation at Aquino Drive, Barangay Baliwasan, Zamboanga City at 5:11 PM of July 9, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Jave Diaz y Seracho, 29 years old, male, single, senior high school, construction worker and a resident of Aquino Drive, Barangay Baliwasan, Zamboanga City. Recovered from his possession were ten (10) heat sealed plastic sachets of suspected Shabu with an estimated value of ₱ 5,440.00 weighing 0.8 gram and two (2) bills of ₱ 100.00 as marked money. He is now under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 6 in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered items will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.
Man Arrested in Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Guiwan
Station Drug Enforcement Team of Zamboanga City Police Station 5 conducted drug buy-bust operation at Barangay Guiwan, Zamboanga City at 7:30 PM of July 9, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Ranil Cruz Aldeon a.k.a “Ranil”, 31 years old, male, single, high school level, jobless and a resident of Barangay Sinunuc, Zamboanga City. Recovered from his possession were five (5) heat sealed plastic sachets of suspected Shabu with a standard drug price of ₱ 6,800.00 weighing 1 gram and three (3) bills of ₱ 100.00 as marked money. He is now under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 5 in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered items will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.
