Hand Grenade Recovered in Kumalarang
A hand grenade was recovered at Barangay Boyugan East, Kumalarang, Zamboanga Del Sur at 11:00 AM of April 28, 2021. The recovered grenade was identified as a grenade hand fragmentation MK2, placed in a cut 1.5L Coca-Cola bottle. It was accidentally discovered by Marina Piang Tambor, while she was cleaning and digging the Verme Compose House located at the said place in preparation for the barangay activity for Women’s Association. The Grenade Hand Fragmentation MK2 was properly turned over and under the custody of the Provincial Explosives and Canine Unit 9 (PECU), Barangay Balintawak, Pagadian City.

PNP elements of Bayog Municipal Police Station together with the personnel of Zamboanga Sibugay 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company and 1st Infantry Division, Philippine Army, conducted law enforcement operation through service of warrant of arrest at Barangay Balukbahan, Bayog, Zamboanga Del Sur at 3:30 PM of April 28, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Junard Luao Lumadang, male, 25 years old, married, farmer, resident of Sitio Limamawan, Barangay Balukbahan, Bayog, Zamboanga Del Sur. He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest duly issued and signed by Hon. Dennis P. Vicoy, Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, Ninth Judicial Region, Branch 20, Pagadian City dated September 24, 2020, for the crime of Rape defined under Art. 266-A (1) (a) of the Revised Penal Code as amended by R.A. No. 8353 with Criminal Case Nos. 15195-2K20, 15196-2K20 and 15197-2K20 with no bail. He is now temporarily detained at Bayog Municipal Police S custodial facility while waiting for commitment order from the court;

The operation resulted in the arrest of Rodolfo Villa Cabañero Jr., 36 years old, male, single and a resident of Brgy. Cainglet, Kabasalan, Zamboanga Sibugay. The arrest was made by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of Rape by sexual intercourse docketed under Criminal Case No. i-5763 dated April 3, 2017, issued by Hon. Anthony DT Isaw, Presiding Judge, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 24, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay with no bail recommended. He is now under the custody of Kabasalan Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.

Station Drug Enforcement Team of Zamboanga City Police Station 4 conducted anti-illegal drugs operation at Mulu-muluan, Barangay Mercedes Zamboanga City at 10:15 PM of April 28, 2021. Man Arrested in a Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Labason
PNP elements of Regional Drug Enforcement Unit 9 together with Labason Municipal Police Station conducted joint drug buy-bust operation at Purok 6, Brgy Gil Sanchez, Labason, Zamboanga del Norte at 5:10 a.m. of April 28, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Clyde Martinez Corpus, 35 years old, jobless, high school graduate and a resident of Brgy. Galas, Dipolog City. Confiscated during the operation were one (1) piece heat sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected Shabu, two (2) pieces green disposable lighters, one (1) grey pouch, three (3) pieces one hundred peso bill marked money, six thousand pesos cash in different denomination as proceeds money. Estimated weight of confiscated drugs is 0.120 grams and street value amounting to three hundred pesos (₱ 300.00). The arrested person is now under the custody of Labason Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
