2 CTG Members Surrendered in Midsalip
Municipal ELCAC Task Force headed by Municipal Mayor Elmer M. Soronio together with Regional Intelligence Unit 9, 902nd Maneuver Company and representatives from National Intelligence Coordinating Agency 9, facilitated the voluntary surrender of two CTG members at Midsalip, Zamboanga del Sur at 4:10 PM of April 14, 2021. CTG members surrendered one unit Cal .45 Colt MK-IV defaced serial number; one unit Magazine with seven live ammunitions; one-unit handheld fragmentation M67 grenade, one-unit .357 revolver with defaced serial number with six live ammunitions; one-unit handheld fragmentation M67 grenade. Said firearms and grenades were turned over to Regional Intelligence Unit 9 for proper disposition and safekeeping. The surrendered CTGs are now under the custody of Midsalip Municipal Police Station and will be turned over to Barangay Chairman of Pisompongan, Midsalip, Zamboanga del Sur.
Top 7 Most Wanted Person of Dipolog City, Arrested
PNP personnel of Dipolog City Police Station (CPS) and Polanco Municipal Police Station conducted joint law enforcement operation through service of warrant of arrest at Poblacion Polanco, Zamboanga del Norte at 5:30PM of April 14, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of one Rolindo Candoy Velejo, Filipino, married, male, 46 years old, farmer, and a resident of Brgy Diwan, Dipolog City for the crime of Rape  docketed under Criminal Case Number 17956 issued by Hon. Victoriano D. Lacaya Jr, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 9, Dipolog City, dated November 22, 2012, with no bail bond and for Viol of R.A. 7610 docketed under Criminal Case Number 24513 issued by Hon. Jose Rene Gallemit Dondoyano, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 7, Dipolog City dated January 13, 2021 with bail bond amounting to One Hundred Seventy Thousand (₱ 170, 000. 00) pesos. He is now under the custody of Dipolog CPS for proper disposition.
Man Arrested in a Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Dipolog City
Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit conducted drug buy-bust operation at Purok D’beach, Barangay Sicayab, Dipolog City at 8:30 PM of April 14, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Trygve Foley Velasco, male, legal age, single, student, a resident of Purok Mahinabangon, Barangay Turno, Dipolog City. Confiscated during the operation were one (3) piece heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected Marijuana, one (1) unit Oppo A31 cellular phone, one (1) gray sling bag, one (1) brown leather wallet, one (1) red empty matchbox, one (1) empty cigarette pack of Winston serve as container, two (2) pieces of two hundred peso bill bearing serial number JO01270 and AQ557679 and one (1) piece of one hundred peso bill bearing serial number GF731668 serve as buy bust money. The confiscated drug items with an estimated weight of Seven (7) grams and street value amounting to Eight Hundred Forty pesos (₱ 840.00). He was brought to Dipolog Municipal Police Station for proper disposition. All suspected drug items will be brought to Provincial Crime Laboratory Office for examination.
Pcol. Victor Wanchakan Appointed As New Member Of The NAPOLCOM Regional Appelate Board
Camp Gen. Eduardo B. Batalla, R.T. Lim Boulevard, Zamboanga City – PCOL. Victor Wanchakan, Deputy Regional Director for Administration, Police Regional Office 9 has taken oath as the new member of the NAPOLCOM Regional Appellate Board.
The NAPOLCOM Regional Appellate Board is a formal administrative disciplinary machinery which functions to decide all cases on appeal from decisions of the PLEBs and PNP Regional Directors where in the imposable penalties are demotion in rank, dismissal, and those of the mayors in cases falling within their respective jurisdictions. The Regional Appellate Board also decides on appeals from decisions of the Regional Directors on claims for police benefits.
PCOL Wanchakan took the oath as new member of the Regional Appellate Board on April 15, 2021 at about 9:00 AM. The activity was held at the PRO9 Officers Lounge with ARD Pablito Abad administering the oath. Also present during the event were the Regional Director of PRO9 and the Regional Staff of Police Regional Office 9.
