Top 8 Most Wanted Person of Dumingag, Arrested

PNP personnel of Dumingag Municipal Police Station (MPS) together with Molave Municipal Police Station conducted law enforcement operation against most wanted person at Barangay Maloloy-on, Molave, Zamboanga del Sur at 10:30 AM of April 8, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Jovencio Nacion Bonglay, 57 years old, married, habal-habal driver, and a resident of Barangay Guitran, Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur. He was arrested by virtue of arrest warrant for the crime of Robbery, docketed under Criminal Case No.2020-10-4016 dated June 10, 2020 issued by Hon. Joel G. Vercide, Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, Branch 23, Molave, Zamboanga del Sur with recommended bail bond fixed at ₱ 100,000.00. He is now temporarily detained at Dumingag MPS while waiting for commitment order from the court.

CTG Members Surrendered in Bayog

2 CTG members surrendered at Barangay Dipurihan, Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur at about 11:00 AM of April 8, 2021. It was facilitated by PNP personnel of 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company led by PLTCOL. Bonifacio B. Arañas, Jr., Force Commander, together with Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Inelligence Unit, National Intelligence Coordinating Agency 9, and Bayog Municipal Police Station. The former CTG members were presented to PCOL. Redentor L. Retusto, Provincial Director, Zamboanga del Sur Police Provincial Office at 1st PMFC Headquarters, Camp MAJ. Reginaldo C. Abelon, Lumbia, Pagadian City for debriefing and documentation. Furthermore, one unit caliber .38 revolver with five live ammunitions of same caliber were also surrendered by the former CTG members.

Shooting Incident

A shooting incident transpired at Purok Bakhawan, Barangay Pangi, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay at 9:50 PM of April 8, 2021. Initial investigation disclosed that victim Ilomeno Anggot Legados Jr., of legal age, single, self-employed (LTO registration processor), and a resident of Purok Citrus, Barangay Poblacion, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay was travelling from Ipil to Naga on board his Honda XRM 125 while a white Toyota Hilux, was tailing him. Upon reaching the place of incident, victim was shot several times by the suspect/s on board the said vehicle which caused his instantaneous death. Suspect/s immediately fled towards Naga. Recovered from the crime scene were: P4,540 in different denomination, one (1) unit cellular phone, five (5) pieces cal. 45 cartridge case, and one (1) unit red/white Honda XRM 125, with temp plate No.0901-00000283572. Elements of Ipil Municipal Police Station conducted checkpoint on the exit of the fleeing suspect/s. Further, in-depth investigation is conducted for the identification and arrest of the suspect/s. Motive of the incident is yet to be determined.

Fire Incident

A Fire incident transpired at Sitio Catumbal, Barangay Guisao, Zamboanga City at 1:55 AM of April 9, 2021. Investigation disclosed that at about 1:40 AM of same date, the house owned by Neliza Perter Bello, 53 years old, female, married, resident of Zone 1, Barangay Guisao, Zamboanga City was razed to the ground. Said house was made of mostly of light materials and fire started in the vacant room. The cause of the fire was believed to be faulty wiring. Estimated cost of damage amounts to ₱ 200,000.00 cost. Responding BFP personnel were able to put out fire at about 2:05 AM of same date with no casualty reported.

Stabbing and Hacking Incident

A stabbing/hacking incident transpired at at the sea water of Zamboanga City and Bongao. at about 7:00 AM of April 7, 2021. Victim was identified as Eddie Ortiza Manansad, 43 years old, fisherman, and a resident of Purok Paglaum, Barangay Poblacion, Pitogo, Zamboanga del Sur. He was allegedly stabbed and hacked by her brother-in-law identified as Sirmir Raniera, 37 years old, married, fisherman and a resident of Purok Paglaum, Pitogo, Zamboanga del Sur. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim and suspect were having a heated argument on a fishing boat while at the sea water part of Zamboanga City and Bongao. This prompted the suspect to stab and hack the victim. Subsequently, he was thrown to the sea water by the suspect. The victim sustained non-fatal stabbed and hacked wounds on his body and was able to survive after being rescued by some fishermen while floating at the sea water at about 7:30 PM of April 7, 2021. He arrived at the fishing port of Pitogo, Zamboanga del Sur and was rushed to Margosatubig Regional Hospital for treatment.

Drug Suspect Arrested in San Roque

PNP personnel from Zamboanga City Police Station 7 conducted law enforcement operation against wanted person at Barangay San Roque, Zamboanga City at 8:50 AM of April 8, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Wilbert Torres y Egi, 50 years old, male, single and a resident of Barangay San Roque, Zamboanga City. He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest of Sec. 5 and 11 for Violation of R.A. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) with Criminal Case no. 38778 and 38779 issued and signed by Presiding Judge Hon Roncesvalles B Filoteo, Branch 32, RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Zamboanga City dated March 29, 2021 with no bail bond recommended. Further, he is presently under the custody of the said station prior turn over to court concerned.

Man Arrested in a Drug Buy-Bust Operation in San Roque

Station Drug Enforcement Team of Zamboanga City Police Station 7 conducted buy-bust operation at Estrada Drive, Barangay San Roque, Zamboanga City at 10:30 PM of April 8, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of John Melvin Midel y Estrada, 22 years old, male, single, high school undergraduate, resident of Estrada Drive, Barangay San Roque, Zamboanga City. Recovered from his possession were three (3) heat sealed plastic sachets of suspected Shabu with an estimated value of ₱ 7,480.00 weighing 1.1 gram, one (1) empty matchbox and two (2) bills of ₱ 100.0 as marked money. He is now under the custody of the said police station in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered items will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.

3 Drug Suspects Arrested in Kasanyangan

Station Drug Enforcement Team of Zamboanga City Police Station  11 conducted buy-bust operation in Barangay Kasanyangan, Zamboanga City at 12:45 AM of April 9, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Alfhayeed Andung y Daris, 21 years old, male, married, college graduate, unemployed, resident of Barangay San Jose, Zamboanga City; Benhar Hanapi y Bairulla, 39 years old, male, married, elementary graduate, unemployed, resident of Hanapi Drive, Barangay Kasanyangan, Zamboanga City and Dayang Jama y Umpong, 26 years old, female, married, high school undergraduate, unemployed, resident of Hanapi Drive, Barangay Kasanyangan, Zamboanga City. Recovered from their possession were one (1) coin purse, eight (8) heat sealed plastic sachets of suspected Shabu with estimated value of ₱ 20,400.00 weighing 3 grams and three (3) bills of ₱ 100.00 as marked money. They are now under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 11 in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered items will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.

Man Arrested in a Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Dipolog City

Station Drug Enforcement Team of Dipolog City Police Station together with Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 9 – Zamboanga del Norte, conducted joint drug buy-bust operation at Purok Bouenvilla, Barangay Punta, Dipolog City at 4:40 PM of April 8, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Dave Galabin Sargento, male, single, 36 years old, college graduate, welder, and a resident of the said place. Confiscated during the operation were seven (7) sachets of suspected Shabu; one (1) bill of ₱ 500.00, one (1) piece empty Marlboro cigarette pack – served as container of shabu; two hundred seventy pesos in different denomination – proceeds money; one (1) piece blue disposable lighter and one (1) piece Nokia cellular phone. All confiscated drug items has an estimated wieght of 3.8 grams and  street value amounting to twenty five thousand pesos (₱ 25,000.00). Suspect is now under the custody of Dipolog City Police Station pending filing of formal complaint.
