PNP Chief PGen. Guillermo Eleazar visited Zamboanga City Sunday for a series of activities, foremost of which was a visit of the different police stations, awarding of deserving police personnel, blessing and turnover of equipment, oath-taking of Lingkod Bayan Advocacy Support Groups and force multipliers and BARANGAYanihan among others.
Mayor Beng Climaco joined the PNP Chief during the program at the Zamboanga City Police Office where she also presented rewards to the different units for a job well-done in support of the city’s thrust on security.
Gen. Eleazar’s visit to the city was his first since he assumed as the chief of the PNP early this year.
He acknowledged the City Government’s support to the police in terms of infrastructures, transportation and communication facilities, firearms and ammunitions, cash allowances and numerous others that help a lot in the achievement of the PNP goals in the city.
Also present during the engagement at the ZCPO Sunday afternoon were PNP Director for Logistics PMGen Angelito Casimiro, PRO9 Regional Director PBGen Ronaldo Ylagan and City Director PCol. Rexmel Reyes.
