The National Irrigation Administration (NIA)-9 holds a Pre-Construction Conference for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the Mahayag Dam in Barangay Salug Daku, Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur. The event includes an ocular survey of the dam site and a discussion at the NIA-9 Regional Office in Balintawak, Pagadian City.
Mahayag Dam is a crucial part of the Salug River Irrigation System (SARIS), supporting the irrigation of approximately 7,678 hectares of farmland and benefiting 5,682 farming families.
