More than 1,000 worker-beneficiaries from Lupi, Del Gallego and Sipocot, Camarines Sur who were displaced from their jobs here due to the three typhoons that recently battered the Bicol region has received assistance from DOLE Bicol under Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Displaced Workers (TUPAD) earlier.
Regional Director Joel M. Gonzales together with Camarines Sur Provincial Field Office led by Ms. Ana Christine Soriano personally handed over their wages in Lupi on Wednesday.
“Salamat sa pagbigay ng pagkakataon sa amin na kayo ay mabigyan ng serbisyo. Kaya naman, mula sa pamilya ng DOLE Bicol, patuloy natin i-angat ang kalidad ng serbisyo sa mga Bicolano,” RD Gonzales said.
“Isang bayanihang pagtugon sa hamon ng bagong panahon!”
This after Labor Secretary Silvestre H. Bello III ordered the implementation of the TUPAD program as an intervention measure to help informal sector workers recover from the devastation brought by three typhoons that battered the region.
