Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte ordered the creation of a joint executive-legislative committee to strengthen the Office For Senior Citizens Affairs (Osca).
The mayor signed on February 2 Executive Order No 6, Series of 2021, also known as “An Order Strengthening the Office for Senior Citizens Affairs under the City Mayor’s Office.”
Duterte, in her E.O., said the committee shall draft the implementing rules and regulations of City Ordinance No. 0417-10, Series of 2010, titled, “Older Persons Welfare Code of Davao City.”
The special body shall be composed of the City Social Welfare and Development Office, the Office for Senior Citizens Affairs, City Health Office, and the City Council Committee on Social Services.
The Office for Senior Citizens Affairs will serve as the Secretariat tasked to handle all administrative and secretarial activities. CIO, Michael Manguhig OIC RPN Dxkt Davao
