Coast Guard Station Surigao del Norte headed by the Station Commander CDR ELAINE R PANGILINAN PCG hereby informs the public that Light Station (LS) Surigao also known as FAROLA located at Brgy. Taft, Port Area, Surigao City, Surigao del Norte is currently OPERATIONAL as of 24 May 2021.
The said Light Station has a light characteristics of flashing two (2) red lights every ten (10) seconds with the following coordinates;
LAT 09° 47’ 01’’ North
LONG 125° 30’ 05” East
Unauthorized persons are still STRICTLY PROHIBITED to enter inside Light Station (LS) Surigao premises in order to ensure the safety of the public for any untoward incidents in the area and to protect the structure for any damages incurred by defying citizens.
Be reminded that the main purpose of said Light Station is to serve as navigational aid for maritime pilots at sea or inland waterways as well as help guide vessels safely into and out of harbors.
For sightings of any UNATHORIZED PERSONS, please report immediately to Coast Guard Station (CGS) Surigao del Norte with hotline numbers 826-9802 (Landline), 0951-807-0127 (TNT) and 0916-185-3901 (TM) for appropriate actions and proper disposition.
