Kicking off the NDRM 2024 celebrations in the Province of Camarines Sur, the Rescue MARCH Challenge took place bright and early this morning, July 1, 2024, at the Municipality of Gainza, in the Second District of the Province of Camarines Sur.

This year’s Rescue MARCH Challenge is a 12.6-km simulation exercise from Gainza to Minalabac designed to replicate a response scenario for a major disaster event. The exercise scenario assumes a significant breakdown of basic infrastructure, requiring rescuers to travel on foot from a staging area to the ground zero while carrying their equipment and supplies. Hence, the term “Rescue MARCH”.
