Legazpi City – The Provincial Government of Albay (PGA) has committed to extending its full support to the Albayano athletes who will represent the province in the Palarong Bicol 2025.
Acting Governor Baby Glenda Ong-Bongao made this statement during the Provincial School Board (PSB) Regular Meeting held on November 21 at the Red Room, Albay Capitol.
An estimated budget of Php 10.7 million will be allocated by the PSB for approximately 900 Albay delegates, covering expenses such as food, medical needs, gasoline, insurance, and necessary equipment.
Moreover, focused training sessions will be conducted to further prepare the athletes for the Palarong Bicol, ensuring they are well-equipped to achieve victory as they represent the province.
Gov. Bongao emphasized that the PGA will provide all-out support to the Albayano delegates, stressing that cash incentives will once again be awarded to those who secure medals in the competition.
“Itao ta gabos. Todo ‘to, kaya dapat itodo din ng mga athletes,” Bongao said.
