The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Region 5 through Camarines Sur 3rd District Engineering Office (DEO) has uniformly installed solar studs along Naga-Carolina-Panicuason Road, Naga City, which will alert drivers to impending traffic and improve their visibility at night, during the rainy season, and in foggy condition.

“The agency is concerned about the safety of our motorists in potential collisions, so installing solar studs on the roads is a major aid to having visible and hazard-free routes.” DPWH V Regional Director Virgilio Eduarte said.

On the other hand, drivers and onlookers alike find the regular configuration of lights along the aforementioned highways to be very attractive. These exude positive energy and create sparkling atmosphere for them.

The P48-M project has a length of 5.028 kilometers and was funded under the Motor Vehicle User’s Charge (MVUC) said DPWH Camarines Sur 3rd DEO head, Engr. Romeo D. Doloiras.
