The Naga City Council for the Welfare and Protection of Children, through the Children’s Affairs Office, officially launched the BCPC Children’s Rights-Based Protocol Flowchart in Responding to and Handling of Cases of Children at Risk (CAR) and Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL), here at the Naga Regent Hotel.

This new flowchart aims to consolidate and restructure the way the city government would assess and respond to sensitive cases involving children identified as CAR and/or CICL through a comprehensive and coherent referral system. The formulation of this flowchart began in 2024, in partnership with the SALIGAN, the City Social Welfare and Development Office, participating barangays, civil society organizations, and other child protection offices of the LGU.

Present during the launching are our City Vice-Mayor Nene De Asis, together with City Councilor Omar Buenafe, Former City Administrator and City Councilor-Elect Elmer Baldemoro, City Administrator Lito Del Rosario, and the personnel of the NCCWPC and CAO, through Glyza Nasayao, Executive Director of the Children’s Affairs Office, and Jinky Redorsado, NCCWPC Secretariat.

After the launching of the flowchart, the Barangay Council for the Protection of Children received their incentive for passing the 2024 BCPC SGLGB Assessment and Evaluation. All 27 barangays were able to receive one computer desktop and printer set intended for use of their BCPCs.
