Iriga City Solid Waste Management Board, chaired by Mayor Rex Oliva, convened its meeting today, August 28, 2025, at Balay Silangan, OCSWD Building, Sta. Cruz Sur, Iriga City. The meeting focused on reviewing ongoing initiatives and strategizing ways to further enhance the city’s solid waste management program. Mayor Oliva, together with Mr. Ramon P. Parica, head of ICENRO, led the discussion.
The agenda covered several key matters including the approval of the previous meeting’s minutes, the status of the NIA–DPWH proposed SRIP Dam, and the design of trash bins for the City Park and City Hall presented by OCPDC’s Ar. Benedicto Mirasol. Updates were also provided on the Solid Waste Management Plan (SWMP) updating, the proposed amendment to the Plastic Ordinance (Ordinance No. 2024-34), and the ongoing desilting activity. Additionally, the Board discussed waste diversion initiatives, highlighted by the presentation of the Balik Bote Program of Bicol Bottle Packaging Depot, along with other related matters.
