To further improve healthcare service delivery in the region, the Department of Health (DOH Undersecretary Dr. Glenn Mathew G. Baggao recently conducted a visit and inspection of the DOH-retained facilities in Camarines Sur on March 3-4, 2026.
Together with the DOH Bicol Center for Health Development team led by OIC-Regional Director Dr. Rosa Maria B. Rempillo, Usec. Baggao met with the Camarines Sur Treatment Rehabilitation Center (CSTRC), Bicol Medical Center (BMC), and Bicol Regional General Hospital and Geriatric Medical Center (BRGHGMC) to assess operational performance and address key service delivery gaps.
Site inspections were also undertaken to oversee the progress of ongoing construction to ensure quality and timely completion.
Medical center chiefs and their executive committees were provided the opportunity to lobby their concerns, identifying specific support needed for continuous improvement, expansion, and modernization of health facilities and equipment
