Over 600 participants—primarily women from various organizations—gathered at the starting line for “𝘋𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘯 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘢 𝘬𝘢𝘺 𝘑𝘶𝘢𝘯𝘢 𝘴𝘢 𝘗𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘴𝘪,” a spirited fun run held last June 21, 2025, celebrating the vital role of women in faith, community, and wellness. The activity was among the many highlights of this year’s Pintakasi festivities, emphasizing the enduring strength and unity of Irigueñas across all sectors.

Spearheaded by the Iriga City Local Council of Women (ICLCW), under the leadership of Ms. Evelyn C. Bernales, President of the ICLCW, the fun run was organized in collaboration with the Gender and Development Office, and the City Government of Iriga.

The event drew enthusiastic participation from LGU employees, barangay officials, youth groups, civic organizations, Rinconada representatives, and various community members. More than a celebration of health and fitness, it reinforced the call for women’s empowerment, inclusion, and solidarity in all aspects of society.

Support from partners like the Iriga City Water District and Nature Spring Water Company helped ensure a smooth and refreshing experience, with water stations and the donation of 1,000 bottled waters. Numerous LGU offices also contributed logistical support, reflecting a shared commitment to the success of the activity.

𝘋𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘯 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘢 𝘬𝘢𝘺 𝘑𝘶𝘢𝘯𝘢 stood as a powerful expression of gender inclusivity, cultural pride, and collective progress—reminding Irigueños that every step taken together moves the community forward with strength, compassion, and purpose.
