DILG Camarines Sur lauds and congratulates the Cities of Naga and Iriga and the Municipalities of Magarao, Tinambac, and Milaor for having been adjudged awardees for the 2022 Seal of Child-Friendly Local Governance (SCFLG) in the region.
The CFLGA is an annual audit/assessment system led by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) together with the Council for the Welfare of Children (CWC) and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), in support of the countryโs commitments to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. The local government units (LGUs) were assessed based on the following indicators that were categorized under the core rights of children namely: (1) Survival, (2) Development, (3) Protection, (4) Participation and (5) Governance.
The CFLGA advocates a coherent and systematic approach to local government operations; local development planning and legislations, building the type of communities that realizes childrenโs rights and improves childrenโs development and well-being.
