The total number of Covid-19 cases in the country stood at 2,580,173 after 14,786 additional infections were logged by the Department of Health (DOH) on Saturday night.
There were also 894 recoveries and 164 deaths.
Of the total number of infections, 5.6 percent (144,061) were active, 92.9 percent (2,397,456) have recovered, and 1.50 percent (38,656) have died.
The DOH said that there were 100 duplicates that were removed from the total case count. Of these, 73 are recoveries and 1 is a death.
Moreover, 91 cases that were previously tagged as recoveries were reclassified as deaths after final validation.
All laboratories were operational on September 30, 2021 but 2 labs were not able to submit their data to the Covid-19 Document Repository System.
Based on data in the last 14 days, the 2 non-reporting labs contribute, on average, 0.12 percent of samples tested and 0.05 percent of positive individuals.
