Dinagat Islands’ Update On The Latest Confirmed COVID-19 Cases As Of December 05, 2020

    Fifteen (15) new confirmed case of COVID-19 has been reported in Dinagat Islands. They were swabbed last 28 and 30 November 2020:

    • Six (6) from San Jose, 2 of which are household contacts and 4 are close contacts of a previous confirmed case
    • Three (3) from Loreto, all close contacts of previous confirmed cases
    • Two (2) from Basilisa, household / close contacts of a previous confirmed case
    • Two (2) from Cagdianao, both from the Cagdianao Mining Corporation (workplace exposure)
    • One (1) from Dinagat, via local transmission
    • One (1) from Libjo with travel history outside the province

    With this development, we now have thirty-five (35) active confirmed cases in the province.

    The two (2) cases from Loreto are asymptomatic while all the rest are exhibiting mild symptoms.

    All patients shall be transferred to the Provincial Care and Containment Center (PCCC) where they will be properly isolated, monitored, and treated by our doctors and health frontliners.

    Our health and safety protocols are still in place and continue to be enforced. As we support each other during these times, let us also pray for the speedy recovery of all our active cases and fellow Dinagatnons.
