The Batang Surigaonon Youthniversity, led by the Local Youth Development Office under Atty. Krystel Grace C. Buniel, launched the two-day Debate 101 Class 004 today, November 20, 2024, at the Livelihood Training and Productivity Center (LTPC).
The program brought together high school, junior high, and college students for focused training on the fundamentals of debate. Day 1 introduced the British Parliamentary debate format, covering argumentation, refutation, and public speaking. Participants engaged in interactive sessions led by distinguished speakers Raxiey Adolfo, Krizia Dizon, Richmond Anthony Riain Alfonso, and Pol Dominggo, who shared practical techniques and expert insights.
This initiative aims to cultivate critical thinking, communication skills, and leadership among Surigao’s youth.
