Cebu City- Gibutyag sa usa ka Non-Governmental Organization nga nagka daghan na ang molabay ug mga basura diha sa kadagatan.
Kini ang gipahibaw ni Ulysses Fernandez, presidente sa Sea Knights Stewards of the Sea labot sa paglabay ug mga basura sa kadagatan, diin labing daghan nga mga basura naga gikan sa Barangay Tanke, coastal barangay sa Syudad sa Talisay.
Ang pipila ka mga kasayuran gipaambit ni Fernandez uban sa mga opisyal sa mga kabarangayan sa Dakbayan sa Talisay kinsa mitambong sa tigom, “Talking Trash & Talking ACtion: Empowering communities to be part of the Solution” nga gipahigayon sa People’s Hall.
Tumong sa nahisgutang activity mao ang pag raise sa awareness ug pag educate sa mga local communities sa Talisay “to be at the forefront by taking a collective stand againts the irresponsible dumping of trash, which ultimately ends up in the rivers and the sea.”
“The activity gathers officials of different barangays in Talisay City aims to encourage communities to take a collective stand againts the irresponsible dumping of trash,” paambit ni Joselito Sumabat, senior science research specialist of Coastal Resources and Eco-Tourism Research, Development and Extension Center-Eco System Research and Development sa Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).
Nagkanayon si Sumabat nga ang mga opisyales nga mitambong sa kalihukan mao nay mo encourage sa ilang mga constituents pagtabang nga masulbad ang problema sa basura.
