CAVITEX hopes to finish on a high prior to the grand finals of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) 3×3 Second Conference Season 2.

The Braves gun for a back-to-back championship as Leg 6 gets underway Saturday at Robinsons Place Antipolo Extension.

The 3×3 team of the NLEX franchise is just a week removed from winning Leg 5 in dominant fashion, making short work of Platinum Karaoke in the finals, 21-13, to take home the top purse of P100,000.

Except for Tzaddy Rangel, the Braves are bringing back the same core that won the championship the last time around led by Jorey Napoles, Dominick Fajardo, and Chester Saldua.

The comebacking Bong Galanza takes over the place of Rangel.

But the rest of the field are out to foil the Braves’ bid for the last leg championship up for grabs heading to the conference grand finals set on Dec. 18.

Platinum Karaoke reactivated the same lineup that won for the team the Leg 4 title as Nico Salva and Brandon Bates rejoin Terrence Tumalip and big man Yutien Andrada.

Two-leg winner TNT is also raring to bounce back after failing to advance in the playoffs the last time, reactivating veterans Lervin Flores and Ping Exciminiano to team up with Samboy De Leon and scoring leader Almond Vosotros.

As winner of the previous leg, Cavitex takes the top spot in a stacked up Pool A that includes Meralco and TNT.

Platinum Karaoke meanwhile, leads Pool B where it is joined by Blackwater and Terrafirma.

Pool C is led by Pioneer Elastoseal along with San Miguel Beer and Northport, while Barangay Ginebra shows way in Pool D together with J&T Express and Purefoods.

Cavitex opens its bid right off the bat by facing Meralco to kick off the pool play featuring a total of 12 games for the day.

By Sunday, the eight team to advance in the quarterfinals play in the knockout stage, with the lone survivor winning the final leg crown at stake this conference along with the top prize money of P100,000.

The runner up gets P50,000 and third placer P30,00
