Cassion, the 3rd Regional Director declared by Sangguniang Panlalawigan “Persona Non Grata”
Ma. Kristina Cassion is the third high ranking regional official in Caraga Region declared as “persona non grata” by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Surigao del Norte.
According to the record of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Secretary Rodulf Valentino Sering, in 2017 there were 2 Regional Directors were also declared persona non grata: DepEd RD May Eclar allegedly for not responding to the situation of schools in Surigao del Norte affected by the Magnitude 6.7 Earthquake last February 10, 2017. Also on February 20, 2017, BFAR RD Juan Albaladejo was also declared persona non grata after he ordered the immediate transfer of BFAR Regional Office from Surigao City to Butuan City. Albaladejo even he was declared persona non grata was welcomed by fisherfolks and officials in a conference in Sta. Monica, Surigao del Norte. Mayor Fernando Dolar said they did not knew there was a resolution declaring the regional director persona non grata that time.
LTFRB Regional Director Cassion said in a screenshot comment that despite the Persona Non Grata Resolution, the level of service of LTFRB to their stakeholders will never waiver. “Rest assured that the coming home of stranded individuals back to Surigao del Norte will push through.”
Cassion respected the expression of sentiment because that is the prerogative of the local council. But she will never wrongfully retaliate against the innocent people in Surigao del Norte. She has not yet received the official copy of the resolution. (jc | RPN DXKS)
