Canlanipa Punong Barangay Joel Cambalon dismissed the rumors that a certain purok in Canlanipa will implement lockdown. The hospital worker (1st positive case of COVID-19 in Surigao City) is already confined at Caraga Regional Hospital.
The lockdown will be implemented if there will be 2 positive cases identified in a specific area per protocol by the Inter Agency Task Force.
The City Government has already identified Quarantine Area. Canlanipa proper was celebrating the fiesta of San Isidro Labrador last May 14 & 15 and some were having salo-salo tradition.
Cambalon is praying that the follow up test will turn negative. The patient is a new resident in Barangay Canlanipa and her house in Canlanipa proper is always close.
