BCPO Nets ₱788-K Worth Of ‘Shabu’ In July

Bacolod City – The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) has seized a total of ₱ 788,208.40 worth of suspected shabu from July 1 to 31, 2021.

Based on the data provided by the BCPO to the media on Wednesday, a total of 115.913 grams of suspected shabu was confiscated.

52 police operations were conducted that resulted in the arrest of 73 street level drug personalities.

A total of 89 cases were filed in court for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

In the campaign against wanted persons, 53 operations were conducted that led to the apprehension of 12 most wanted persons, and 40 other wanted persons charged with various offenses.

With the continuous information drive of “Oplan Katok”, an annual verification of firearms, six loose firearms were surrendered and one was confiscated in a month-long intensified anti-criminality drive of the city police force.

For illegal gambling, 43 individuals were arrested in 12 operations, and 24 cases were filed in court.

Police Colonel Manuel Placido, BCPO director, in a statement, commended the operating units and personnel for their relentless efforts to lessen criminalities.

Placido, in a statement, reminded the cops to be always motivated to do their jobs to make the city safe, peaceful, and always on alert against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) by strictly implementing and observing the minimum health protocols.
