Davao City – 9 families from Purok-Mahayahay, Townsite, King-king Pantukan, Davao de Oro were affected by fire which burnt their houses to ashes.
The incident left the affected families nothing and brought them into a situation out of their comfort zone, especially that Covid-19 still lurks in places and poses threat to everyone.
To help the affected families cope and rebuild from the terrifying incident, the Municipal Local Government of Pantukan directly acted on the said incident spearheaded by Mayor Roberto M. Yugo together with the MSWDO of Pantukan.
On the other hand, Sangguniang Bayan Member Mrs. Catherine Uy Pangay of the MLGU-Pantukan also extended her service and helped the affected families. Her office provided food packs for the families including the much needed financial assistance.

Through the initiative of her office, SB Member Pangay was able to raise assistance both from private individuals and public officials with intentions to extend their help. Meanwhile,
The Kusina nga Kalinga (KNK) of PLGU-Davao de Oro was also mobilized and provided food packs for the families of the town-site.
Davao de Oro has been known for its resiliency for ages. With the “Bayanihan” spirit that dwells in its people and the governing body, the province was able to thrive amidst unexpected circumstances be it man-made or natural phenomena.
