Following that, on March 8 at 8:00 a.m., there will be an outdoor Eucharistic celebration for Women’s Day at Aurora Park, Laoag City, and a Zumba activity in the afternoon at the Provincial Capitol Lawn.

Meanwhile, the GAD will hold haircut training on March 8-10 and March 14-16 in the Municipalities of Burgos and Badoc, respectively, to help women develop their skills and gain economic empowerment.

Furthermore, fora on AIDS Awareness will be conducted in Badoc and Pinili on March 11 and in Bangui and Pasuquin on March 18 to increase information access in the prevention and mitigation of immunodeficiency disease in the community level.

The “Basic Self-defense to Women and Girls” will be placed on March 23 in Solsona and Marcos towns and on March 30 in Laoag City to primarily protect oneself from unsafe situations, capping off the month-long event.

Anchored with the theme, “We Make Change Work for Women,” this year’s celebration aims to inform and engage women as stakeholders of government programs and services to promote citizen-centric governance; create and facilitate platforms to discuss good practices, gaps, challenges in pursuing GAD; and inspire and empower women and girls to be agents of change.
