Last July 20, 2021 around 7:00AM, Surigao del Norte PPO led by PLTCOL. RUDY L. ELANDAG, Deputy Provincial Director for Operations together with PMAJ. TESSIEL R. MOLETA, Police Community Affairs and Development Unit (PCADU) Officer conducted BARANGAYanihan in celebration of the Islamic Eid Al Adha held at Muslim Bazaar, Borromeo St., Surigao City.
The activity was facilitated by Mike Sultan, Muslim Elder and Former President of Surigao del Norte Muslim Association.
PLTCOL. ELANDAG briefly discussed after their morning “Kutba” the Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (PCVE). He also urged the Muslim community to help the PNP in maintaining livable Surigao by providing timely information about any groups planning to spread terrorism and disorder in the province.
PMAJ. MOLETA also lectured on anti-criminality, minimum health protocols of COVID-19., short overview on VAWC and RA 7610 (Child Abuse).
Afterward, BARANGAYanihan through giving of Food Packs to our Muslim brothers/sisters and distribution of IEC on Anti-terrorism and Wakasan Comics.
