Bacolod City – Despite easing out of COVID-19 restrictions, Negros Occidental will retain its curfew hours and capacity limitations on business establishments, disclosed Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson.
Lacson said some experts believe that it is too early to place the National Capital Region under Alert Level 3 from Alert Level 4, which took effect October 16, amid drop in COVID 19 cases in the country’s metropolis.
The request of Philippine Air Lines for a special flight for a special flight on fully vaccinated from Manila to Negros Occidental, starting October 18 until November 29 this year, got already the approval of Lacson.
The relaxation of alert level in Metro Manila will pave the way for the reopening of more businesses.
Lacson said that Negros Occidental will still enforce the 9pm- 4am daily curfew, and will implement the 30 percent capacity on all business establishments and religious activities.
Negros Occidental has 4,012 COVID-19 active cases, excluding Bacolod City, as of October 16, according to a report of the Provincial Incident Management Team.
