Bacolod City – The signed Joint Venture Agreement between Central Negros Electric Cooperative (Ceneco) and Primelectric Holdings Inc., also has the support of Councilor Claudio Jesus Puentevella.
Puentevella, chair of the Bacolod Sanggunian Panlungsod committee on Energy, said that he will endorse the signed copy of the JVA during their regular session on June 7, for approval.
“As far as I am concern it is the best solution to our ailing distribution utility,” he stressed, apparently referring to Ceneco.
Roel Castro, president and chief operations officer of Primelectric Holdings Inc., furnished Puentevella with a copy of the JVA signed by him, Ceneco president Jojit Yap, and Ceneco acting general manager Atty. Arnel Lapore.
Puentevella presided over the consultation meeting on the pros and cons of the JVA.
MORE Power, a sister company of Primelectric, is infusing about P2 billion in the improvement and upgrading of Ceneco facilities and equipment.
Puentevella also said that he is also thankful that the consultation ended peacefully despite the presence of those supporting and opposing the JVA. (Gilbert Bayoran via The Visayan Daily Star (TVDS), photo courtesy of TVDS)
