Councilor Elbert Atilano eyes for the construction of a Multi Level Sports Facility for Zamboanga City to be located inside the Joaquin F. Enriquez Memorial Sports Complex.
This facility will have four floors worth ₱ 200 million. It will follow international standards to include the equipments.
This will be intended for the sports of boxing, karatedo, taekwondo, table tennis, basketball and others.
“This is in preparation for the normalization of the City after the pandemic,” Atilano said.
His target is for sports tourism where athletes come here to play and at the same time after their games promote the city.
This will be asked from the national government and hoping to be realized next year.
In Zamboanga City most of the games are being played at the City’s sports complex.
