Zamboanga, Reverted To GCQ

The National Interagency Task Force has reverted the quarantine status of Zamboanga City from Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) back to General Community Quarantine (GCQ) yesterday night as announced by Press Secretary Harry Roque.

Zamboanga City has 342 cases of Coronavirus Disease 2019, 146 active cases, 186 recovered patients, and 10 deaths.

Because of this, Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco Salazar instructed the police, military, and barangay to strictly implement quarantine measures.

The mayor is expected to issue a new executive order prescribing guidelines for the second GCQ.

In GCQ quarantine passes were reimposed, Sunday lockdown will be reimposed only essential trips are permitted and essential establishments are open, motorcycle backriding among couples living in one household will continue, mass gatherings will be limited to ten to 30 percent of the capacity, and curfew hours will be from 11pm to 5am

The public is advised to strictly comply quarantine guidelines and help curb the transmission of Covid-19.

Recall, the city was first placed on GCQ June. (R.G. A A. Go)
