About 10PM of February 06, 2020, 7 PNP personnel of Dipolog CPS led by PLT KENT B GUDMALIN, Intel Officer conducted drug buy-bust operation at North Proper Brgy. Galas, Dipolog City that resulted to the arrest of one TONGCAR PABALAY BITONG aka Nonoy (Top 9 Priority Target List City Level DI Watchlisted drug personality), 36 years old (DOB: Sept 29, 1983), single, motorcab driver, high school graduate and a resident of Banicapt Galas, Dipolog City.
Confiscated from the possession and control of the suspect were:
- Seven (7) pieces small size sachets believed to be SHABU;
- One (1) piece medium size sachet believed to be SHABU;
- One (1) piece small size sachet believed to be SHABU as buy-bust evidence;
- One (1) P500.00 bill as marked money, bearing Serial No. SQ165655;
- Cash amounting (P750.00) in different denomination as proceeds money;
- One (1) piece transparent sachet container of the SHABU;
- One (1) piece professional driver’s license in the name of Tongcar P. Bitong with license no. JOI-03-041990;
- One (1) piece leather wallet color black; and
- One (1) piece sling bag reebok brand gray/black combination.
All confiscated illegal drugs has an estimated street value amounting to  P70,000.00, with an estimated weight of more or less 2 grams.
Proper inventory, markings and body searched was done at the place of arrest in the presence of Hon. Elmer V. Vallecer – Elected Public Official, Mr. Rosevelt D. Mondinido – Media representative and Mrs. Merlinda Tenorio- DOJ representative.
Suspect was brought to Provincial Crime Laboratory Office (SOCO) for drug testing together with the pieces of drug evidence for chemical examination and weighing at the said office while the non-drug evidence were safe keep at Dipolog CPS for court exhibit.
Suspect was also brought to the hospital for medical examination and now under the custody of Dipolog CPS pending filing of formal complaint.
Cases for violation of RA 9165 were being readied for filing in court against the suspect.
