Felixberto Esperat, the 60 year old suspect in the hacking of a policewoman and one other female was nabbed by policemen in a pursuit operation in Labuan.
The suspect who allegedly hacked and killed PSMS Marjorie Ebol Mauricio and wounding Sweet Grace Santos on February 19 night at Labuan, Zamboanga City.
Labuan Police Station Chief, P/Capt. Albin T. Cabayacruz claimed elements of Labuan police station were able to arrest Esperat Saturday morning around 7:30 following a manhunt operation.
Cabayacruz said the victim had a heated argument at their residence at Bacalso Drive, Labuan Wednesday night, around 9:50 with the suspect prior to the incident. The suspect got a bolo and hacked Mauricio and Santos.
Mauricio sustained a fatal hack wound at her neck, and was declared dead on arrival at Labuan Public Hospital by attending physicians.
Esperat is presently detained at Labuan Police Station pending proper filing of charges against him.
