The First Covid-19 Survivor In Caraga Region Officially Discharged This Afternoon Per Information From Caraga Regional Hospital

The 68 years old male patient from Butuan City was cleared of COVID-19 after the two negative results released recently by Southern Philippines Medical Center in Davao City.

He was admitted last March 29, 2020 and tagged as P10COV.

Per chart from Caraga Regional Hospital, the P12COV who was negative in the first test is now the second COVID-19 confirmed case in Caraga Region after he was tested positive in the follow up test. This 65 years old patient from Butuan City has no history of travel; however, had close contact with his son who went to Davao for the Araw ng Dabaw six-cock Derby in New Davao Matina Gallera last month. At present, the patient’s condition is currently guarded with oxygen support but with signs of improvement. Further contact tracing of patient’s close contacts is on-going.

P13COV newly admitted yesterday at Caraga Regional Hospital is a 66 years old male from Butuan City. According to Dr. Cheryl Gotinga, the patient was a referral from M J Santos Hospital and awaiting result from SPMC of his swab samples.
