In a notable joint operation of the police force of the 1st Surigao del Norte Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), the lead unit and San Isidro Municipal Police Station arrested a wanted person with the crime of violating Republic Act No. 9262 yesterday, October 31.
Police Colonel Laudemer M Laude, Provincial Director, identified the accused as Reymark Tormiento Moselina, a 28-year-old male single driver and a resident of Barangay Tambacan, San Isidro, Surigao del Norte.
Around 10:00 a.m. yesterday, a joint operation of police operatives of 1st Surigao del Norte Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) and San Isidro Municipal Police Station arrested Moselina under a warrant of arrest for violating Section 5(1) of R.A. 9262, which is financial and economic abuse, under criminal case number 23-180.
Moselina’s arrest warrant was issued by the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 31 of Dapa, Surigao del Norte, on October 24, 2023, with a recommended bail bond of PHP 72,000.
Citing the report of San Isidro MPS, the accused committed the violation on July 26, 2022, for abandoning and failing to support his daughter financially.
“The SurNte PNP will continue to apprehend these fugitives with outstanding arrest warrants in all provinces’ police units. We will not stop tracking and hunting them until justice is served, especially for the victim’s family,” PD Laude said.
The arrested accused is now under the custody of the San Isidro Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
