Be informed that at about 11:35 AM of August 10, 2020, personnel of Provincial Jail of Zamboanga Del Norte Correctional and Rehabilitation Center (ZNCRC) located at Barangay Don Jose Aguirre informed Manukan Municipal Police Station thru cellphone call that one of their inmate identified as Leofer Intic Lumacang, 38 years old, married, resident of Barangay Pian, Polanco, Zamboanga del Norte, accused of Parricide, docketed under Criminal Case No. 23141.
That at about 6:40 AM of same date, Provincial Jail Guard, Randy Obille Ferarin was conducting routinary check of their inmates when he saw the victim was hanging lifeless inside his detention cell.
Upon examination by Dr. Reinier Alonzo-RHU, Manukan, Zamboanga del Norte revealed that the cause of death is Asphyxia due to hanging with cloth ligature in the neck. No foul play found related to his death.
The said inmate is now at the morgue of Trifon Saile Memorial Hospital located in Brgy. Poblacion, Manukan, Zamboanga del Norte.
