Shooting incident transpired at a Road Construction Site Particularly at Purok 7, Brgy. Guling, Guipos, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 3:00 PM of November 5, 2020. The victim was identified as Jemar Banawa Pintac, 42 years old, male, married, foreman and a resident of Purok 3, Brgy. Mahayay, Kumalarang, Zamboanga Del Sur.
Responding team of Guipos Municipal Police Station said that the crime scene was already disturbed as six pieces of spent shells of caliber 5.56 were already recovered near the victim’s body, only one spent shell of caliber 5.56 was recovered from the original place were the victim was shot. According to the son of the victim he and the co-worker of his father decided to move the body of his father and gather the spent shells of caliber 5.56 under the heavy rain. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim was supervising the road construction site when two unidentified motor riding suspects riding Honda wave, color black without plate number suddenly stop and called the victim by his name. After the victim responded, the back rider wearing black t-shirt, short pants and sun glass suddenly alighted from the single motorcycle and shot the victim several times hitting the chest and left side of the body.
The two motor riding suspects fled towards Brgy. Canunan, Guipos, Zamboanga Del Sur. PNP personnel Guipos Municipal Police Station is now conducting follow-up operation and investigation in order to identity, locate, and arrest of the fleeing suspects.
