Sea trips in Bacolod, Negros Occ. to Iloilo, Cebu resume

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG)-Negros Occidental allowed the resumption of sea trips here and in the three cities in the province, starting February 22, 2021 after the Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 was lifted.

In a sea travel advisory issued on Monday morning, Captain Ludovico Librilla Jr., PCG provincial acting station commander, said that trips at the Bacolod Real Estate Development Corp. (Bredco) port en route to Iloilo City and Dumangas, Iloilo, are now allowed.

He also said that trips from San Carlos City port enroute to Toledo City, Cebu also resumed.

Librilla issued another advisory in the afternoon, stating the resumption of trips from Escalante City and Sagay City to Tabuelan, Cebu.

Librilla cited in the advisory that “Auring” weakened into a tropical depression, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA). (Glazyl Masculino via tdg, photo by tdg)
