To boost transportation safety and accessibility for motorists, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Zamboanga del Sur 1st District Engineering Office has successfully completed the road concreting project in Barangay Kapalaran, Tambulig, Zamboanga del Sur.

The project, funded with an allocated amount of ₱10 million from the General Appropriations Act (GAA) 2024, involved paving a total net length of 257.00 meters. The infrastructure also includes drainage and slope protection structures to ensure the longevity and safety of the road.

This newly completed concrete road will provide safer and more efficient transportation for motorists particularly farmers, improving accessibility to bigger markets.

It is anticipated to benefit approximately 1,075 residents (2020 Census) and strengthen connections between neighboring barangays in the province, contributing to local development and better mobility for the community.

Residents of Barangay Kapalaran and surrounding areas can now enjoy smoother travel, and the improved road infrastructure will support various socio-economic activities in this rural part of Zamboanga del Sur.
