Davao City – Realizing the need of educators to guide the children especially those IP students who were undergoing modular classes, Police Regional Office 11 thru its Revitalized Pulis sa Barangay initiated a program wherein R-PSB members who at the same time were Licensed Professional Teachers would provide weekly tutorial classes on Module Workbooks.
The R-PSB members were provided with instructional intervention for students having difficulties in their modular lessons.
This program tagged as “Titser Ko Si Kuyang Pulis at Ateng Pulis” started at Sitio Nasilaban, Naputlakan, Km. 31 and Tibucag in Talaingod, Davao del Norte and Sitio Palibawan and Kamugna, Malita, Davao Occidental.
The said initiative was led by PMSg. Edsol Joseph M Paro under the supervision of PLT Roland B. Rubion in collaboration with the DepEd teachers of Nasilaban Integrated School headed by Mr. Junmar Laab.
Also, R-PSB Datu Danwata in Malita, Davao Occidental built two (2) Community Modular Hub in the sitios of Palibawan and Kamugna, with a Project designed by PCPL Jim Anthony S. Danwata , team leader.
RPSB Datu Danwata serving as educators are providing a weekly tutorial classes on Module Workbooks as an intervention measure to provide quality education out of the sad plight of the children living in the remotest places; more so, this will assist IP parents, who could not teach their children because they lack of education.
This timely initiative according to PBGEN. Filmore B. Escobal, RD, PRO 11 would soon be replicated in the different areas of Davao Region through the R-PSBs.
Mr. Leo Legaspi, Dep-Ed representative in Davao Del Norte expressed appreciation to this initiative of PRO 11; however, they were saddened with the sniping incident that transpired at Brgy. Dagohoy, Km. 31, Talaingod, Davao Norte on November 7, 2020; to quote:
“Sa insidente atong Sabado, naigo ang atong tropa. Among gikasubo, ang tumong sa atong mga kapulisan na ni anhi dri para mutabang, wala man sila niadto para makig gyera. Nianhi sila dri aron ma develop ang atong mga katawhan diri ug mapalambo; naga tudlo sila sa ao a kabataan, mao ng dako kaayo ang among kalipay. Tuod sumala sa panghitabo, dako ang among kalipay na kining programa dako kaayo ang tabang sa atong komunidad”.
