Report on Arrest of Suspect on Direct Assault Mutia MPS

Be informed that at about 7:10 PM of October 25, 2020, Mutia Municipal Police Station (MPS) received a call from Mrs. Joyce lou Alvar Ligoro, 44 years old, married, a resident of Brgy. Poblacion, Mutia, Zamboanga del Norte informing that his husband Domingo Ligoro III, 41 years old, male, married, Barangay Councilor, also a resident of said place who is under the influence of intoxicating liquor got wild at their house.

Immediately, PNP personnel of the said station led by PEMS Ronald T. Echem, PMSg. Marwin L. Cimafranca, PSSg. Jay Albert D. Rubi – duty Investigator and PCpl. Tristan L. Adaza went to the said place. Upon arrival at the area, the responding team saw the suspect at the porch of their house and also saw scattered debris of flower pot and dismantled glass table while his wife Mrs. Joyce lou Alvar Ligoro hide inside their house.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that the suspect got jealous to their driver and got wild by throwing objects and destroyed their table that causes his wife to frightened, that prompted the PNP team to advise to calm down but the latter resisted by pushing and box PSSg. Jay Albert D. Rubi and uttered insulting words towards the PNP personnel “DILI KO MO KOYUG NINYU SIR (AYAW KONG SUMAMA SA INYO SIR)” then rode his motorcycle and tried to evade that prompted the responding team to arrest the suspect and informed his constitutional rights as arrested person.

The said suspect is now under the custody of Mutia MPS for proper disposition and for filing of appropriate charge against him. (PLtCol. Charisse B. Yabo, Provincial Community Affairs and Development Unit Chief)
