PRO XI CONVENES 260TH REGIONAL LAW ENFORCEMENT COORDINATING COMMITTEE MEETING

DAVAO CITY- Members of the Regional Law Enforcement Coordinating Committee (RLECC)  to discuss the peace and order situation and on how to strengthen efforts to address the proliferation of illegal drugs and other criminalities in the region. The 260th RLECC Regular Monthly meeting held at Grand Menseng Hotel, this city was presided by its Chairman, PBGen Marcelo C Morales, PRO 11 Regional Director with PCol Alberto Lupaz, Chief ROD, who facilitated the roll call of attendees.

Further, the said meeting was also attended by DCPO City Director, PCol Alexander Tagum. Other government agencies present who sent their respective representatives were LTO XI, Mines and Geosciences Bureau XI, NBI XI, PCTC- EMFO.

Agenda during the meeting were the presentation of Davao Region’s Crime Statistics, Accomplishments of Davao City Police Office including the success of their ‘out of the box’ anti-criminality campaigns such as Oplan Kalinaw and Oplan Lambat Bitag.

Moreover, PBGen Morales in his message, asked public’s cooperation and support in order to effectively carry out its mandates.

“Please continue to support the PNP, your PNP. In our part, we are doing our very best to give the quality of service everyone deserves. Cooperate and trust us. I believe that if we are united in good faith, I know our place is bound to progress more and shall continue to topnotch in public safety and development in the coming years,” he said.

This regular monthly meeting was conducted for them to govern the roles of the different agencies on the issues and concerns pertaining to law enforcement.

“We cannot do this alone. We need the help of other government agencies to rectify some concerns and to further discuss on how to strengthen the security measures implemented in the region.” He further added that this coordination meeting enable the members of the committee into a faster action and resolve.

Meanwhile, a plaque of appreciation was given to DCPO duly received by PCol Tagum for being the sponsor of the said meeting.
