Fire Incident
Fire incident transpired at Mega Fishing Corporation, Brgy Talisayan, Zamboanga City at about 1:30 AM of January 21, 2021. Acted on the report, Zamboanga City Police Station 9 personnel proceeded to the reported place. Initial investigation conducted disclosed that at about 1:30 AM of January 21, 2021, fire incident started particularly at the Scrap yard of Mega Fishing Corporation wherein materials such as wood, plastics and pallets of said fishing company were burned in an open area. Furthermore, responding Bureau of Fire Protection personnel were able to put out the fire at about 3:22 AM of same date and no injury was reported. The estimated cost of damage was more or less P300,000.00 and the cause of fire was believed to be from a faulty wiring.
Stabbing Incident
Stabbing incident transpired at Purok Uno, Brgy. Bulawan, Katipunan, Zamboanga del Norte at about 7:35 PM of January 20, 2021. The victim was identified as Jobel Ando Embal, 35 years old, farmer and the suspect as Marlon Ando Guminta, 28 years old, farmer both residence of said place. Initial investigation conducted disclosed that prior to the incident; both involved persons who were under the influence of liquor were walking together when suddenly the victim was punched by the suspect hitting his mouth after he failed to give him a tobacco/cigarette. Suspect then retaliated by pulling his double bladed knife measuring 8.5 inches in length including the wooden handle and with no hesitation stabbed the victim in his left lower chest. The victim was rushed to Katipunan Rural Health Unit for immediate medication but pronounced Death on arrival by the attending physician Dr. Kie Ruud Pepirno. He is now under custody of Katipunan MPS for filing of appropriate charges in court.
Suicide Incident
Suicide incident transpired at 28 IB, Purok 4, Barangay Upper Calarian, Zamboanga City at about 3:30PM of January 20, 2021. The victim was identified as Jayvee Christian Barcelon Andal, 15 years old, male, single and a resident of abovementioned place. Investigation conducted revealed that according to his Grandfather identified as “Carlito Barcelon” that at about 3:30PM of January 20, 2021 he discovered his Grandson (victim) hanging on a Mango Tree using an electric wire tied on its neck. Mr. Carlito Barcelon further stated that the victim was depressed because his mother scolded him for failure to take his online class. The victim was immediately brought to Ciudad de Zamboanga Hospital for medical attention but declared dead on arrival by the attending physician. Further, said victims remain is presently at said Hospital for proper disposition.
₱360,000.00 Shabu Yield from 4 Drug Pushers in Zamboanga City
The drug enforcement unit of Zamboanga City Police Station 11 led by PMAJ Chester N Natividad arrested four drug personalities during the separate drug buy bust operation in Barangay Rio Hondo and Barangay Zone IV, Zamboanga City on January 20 and 21, 2021.
Adzhar Sakandal y Jalali, 31 years old, male, married and Fauzia Sawabi y Sali, 32 years old, female, married, high school level, housewife were arrested by drug enforcement unit of Zamboanga City Police Station 11 led by PMAJ Chester N Natividad in a drug buy-bust operation on Illegal Drugs at Barangay Rio Hondo, Zamboanga City at 10:20 PM of January 20, 2021. Recovered from their possession were Seven (7) heat sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated DDB value of ₱60,000.00 weighing more or less grams, one (1) coin purse and Five (5) bills of ₱100.00 as marked money. They are now under the custody of said police station in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court.
Samsula Sabtula y Adda, 39 years old, male, married, habal-habal driver and Durana Sabtula y Haluddin, 38 years old, female, married, housewife, were arrested by drug enforcement unit of Zamboanga City Police Station 11 led by PMAJ Chester N Natividad in a drug buy-bust operation on Illegal Drugs at Paniran, Barangay Zone IV, Zamboanga City at 1:34 AM of January 21, 2020. Recovered from their possession were Five (5) heat sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated DDB value of ₱200,000.00 weighing more or less 29 grams, one (1) coin purse and two (2) bills of ₱100.00 as marked money. They are now under the custody of said police station in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court.
Man Charge with Robbery with Homicide Arrested in Zamboanga City
Police elements of Zamboanga City Police Station 10 led by PMAJ Sonny Boy P Perez and military authorities conducted law enforcement operation against wanted person at San Ramon, Brgy Talisayan, Zamboanga City at 4:30 AM of January 21, 2021. The operation resulted to the arrest of Osman Amajad Nusaman, 52 years old, male, married, jeepney driver, high school level, resident of San Ramon, Brgy Talisayan, Zamboanga City by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for Robbery with Homicide with Criminal Case number 2695-690, Branch 2, Regional Trial Court of Basilan 9th Judicial Region, Isabela City Basilan signed by Hon. Danilo M. Bucoy Presiding Judge issued on January 18, 2017 with no bail bond recommended. He is now under the custody of said police station prior to turn over to court concerned.
Fisherman Held in Tukuran for the Crime of Homicide
Police personnel of Tukuran Municipal Police Station led by PCPT Jubail S Grar together with police personnel of 902nd RMFB9 conducted joint law enforcement operation against wanted person at Purok Makugihon, Barangay Sto. Niño, Tukuran, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 10:30 AM of January 20, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Marvin Cubio Maning, 28 years old, married, fisherman and a resident of Brgy. Tabuan, Tukuran, Zamboanga Del Sur. He was arrested by Virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the Crime of Homicide docketed under Criminal Case Number 15331-2k20 issued by Hon. Felix B Rodriguez Jr. Presiding Judge, 9th Judicial Region, RTC Branch 18, Pagadian City Zambaonga Del Sur, dated December 18, 2020 with bail bond recommended in the amount of P40,000.00. He is now temporarily detained at Tukuran MPS custodial facility while waiting for commitment order from the court.
