He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of Rape in relation to R.A. 7610 docketed under Criminal Case No. S-5285 issued by Presiding Judge Reymar L Lacaya of 9th Judicial Branch 11, Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte dated March 2, 2016 with no bail bond recommended. He is now at Padre Garcia Municipal Police Station for proper documentation prior turn-over to Leon B Postigo MPS.
Former Police Officer Arrested in Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Pasobolong
PNP personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 11 conducted drug buy-bust operation at Barangay Pasobolong, Zamboanga City at 5:50 p.m. of June 6, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Charlotte Reyes Foncardas, former PNP member, 39 years old, female, single, and a resident of said place. Confiscated during the operation were twenty-two (22) sachets of suspected Shabu with estimated value of ₱ 68,000.00 weighing 10 grams, and one piece ₱ 500.00 bill marked money. Arrested suspect is now under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 11 for proper disposition.
One Dead in a Motor Vehicle Traffic Accident in Ramon Magsaysay
A vehicular accident transpired at National Highway of Purok San Francisco, Barangay Campo IV, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga del Sur at 12:40 p.m. of June 6, 2021 involving a Honda TMX tricycle driven by Adolfo Efren Uyanguren, 57 years old, male, married, and a resident of Purok Malambuon, Barangay Campo IV, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga del Sur, and a gray Toyota Hilux driven by PSSg Warren Padilla Dela Peña, 37 years old, male, married, Active Member of Philippine National Police currently assigned at Ramon Magsaysay Municipal Police Station (MPS), Magsaysay, Lanao del Norte, and a resident of Barangay San Antonio, Tubod, Lanao del Norte. Investigation disclosed that the Honda TMX tricycle was traversing from Barangay Campo IV, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga del Sur, while the Toyota Hilux was traversing from Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur bound to Lanao Del Norte, both running in opposite direction. While traversing at the above-mentioned place of accident, the Toyota Hilux allegedly overtook another vehicle and accidentally went on head on collision into the incoming Honda TMX tricycle running in opposite direction. As a result, the driver of Honda TMX, Adolfo Efren Uyanguren, sustained severe injury on his body and was brought to Blancia Hospital, Molave Municipality for treatment but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician, while PSSg Warren Padilla Dela Peña sustained head injury and brought to Ramon Magsaysay Municipality Rural Health Unit for medical treatment. Both vehicles incurred damages and were brought to Ramon Magsaysay MPS for proper disposition of the case.
Man Arrested in Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Tungawan
Joint elements of Regional Drug Enforcement Unit 9 together with Zamboanga Sibugay PDEA, Tungawan Municipal Police Station (MPS), Zamboanga Sibugay 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company and 903rd Maneuver Company conducted joint drug buy-bust operation at Sitio Beha, Barangay Libertad, Tungawan, Zamboanga Sibugay at 10:50 p.m. of June 6, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Samsudin Sahirin Ascalon “aka” Jakka, 46 years old, male, married, unemployed and a resident of Purok Gemilina, Barangay Tenan, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay. Confiscated items during the operation were one (1) heat sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected Shabu (buy-bust item), two (2) heat sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected Shabu (possession) with an estimated weight of 3 grams and estimated value of ₱ 20,100.00, one (1) cigarette pack (Fort), one (1) piece five hundred (₱ 500.00) peso bill used as marked money. Six (6) pieces one thousand (₱ 1,000.00) peso bills used as boodle money, one (1) piece one hundred (₱ 100.00) peso bill, one (1) piece fifty (₱ 50.00) peso bill, and one (1) piece disposable lighter. Arrested person is now under the custody of Tungawan MPS for proper disposition while the confiscated items were brought to Zamboanga Sibugay PDEA.

The operation resulted in the arrest of Benjie Corre Gomez, 47 years old, male, Married, Former Deputy Secretary of Regional White Area Committee (RWAC)-(CTG PSR as of CY: 2012), Western Mindanao Regional Party Committee (WMRPC). He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of Murder docketed under Criminal Case No. S-5851 issued by Presiding Judge Reymar L. Lacaya, of RTC9, Branch 11, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte dated January 3, 2019 with no bail bond recommended. Arrested CTG personality was immediately transported to Leon B Postigo MPS for proper documentation.
