Two CTG Members Surrendered in Leon B Postigo
Two Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) personalities of the Western Mindanao Regional Party Committee (WMRPC) have surrendered to Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Intelligence Unit, Regional Intelligence Unit 9, Regional Intelligence Division 9, Leon B Postigo Municipal Police Station, 1st Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Mobile Force Company and Barangay Officials of Barangay Mawal, and Barangay Buenaswerte, Mutia, Zamboanga del Norte at Barangay Hall of Mawal, Leon B Postigo June 3, 2021 at 9:15 a.m.. The CTG surrenderees were members of the Alyansa ng Mag-uuma sa Zamboanga del Norte (ALMAZAN) under Communist Front Organization of Kilusang Mangbubukid ng Pilipinas (KMP) and currently PSR Listed under CAMOs, RUC, WMRPC. Surrendered CTG members were released in good physical condition in their locality for further community reintegration.
Former CTG Member Arrested in Dumingag
PNP personnel of Zamboanga del Sur 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company; 902nd Maneuver Company conducted law enforcement operation through service of warrant of arrest at Barangay San Pablo, Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur at 11:30 a.m. of June 3, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Jessie Pularan Banse a.k.a. Kins, 39 years old, single, and a resident of Barangay Galas, Dipolog, Zamboanga del Norte. He was arrested by virtue of arrest warrant for the Crime of Attempted Homicide, docketed under Criminal Case No. 5327-D dated April 14, 2021 issued by Hon. Crislyn C. Pangindian Sancho, Presiding Judge, 11th MCTC of Mahayag-Dumingag- Josefina, Zamboanga del Sur with recommended bail bond fixed at ₱ 36,000.00. He is now temporarily detained at the custodial facility of 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company, Camp Maj Reginaldo C Abelon, Lumbia, Pagadian City.

The operation resulted in the arrest of William Petiluna Nahime a.k.a. Jorem, 36 years old, single, and a resident of Barangay Lapirian, Tukuran, Zamboanga del Sur. He was arrested by virtue of arrest warrant for the crime of Attempted Homicide, docketed under Criminal Case No. 5327-D Dated April 14, 2021 issued by Hon. Crislyn C Pangindian Sancho, Presiding Judge, 11th MCTC of Mahayag-Dumingag and Josefina, Zamboanga del Sur with recommended bail bond fixed at ₱ 36,000.00. He is now temporarily detained at custodial facility of 1st PMFC, Camp Maj Reginaldo C Abelon, Lumbia, Pagadian City.
Stabbing Incident
A stabbing incident transpired at 8:15 p.m. of June 3, 2021 at Riverside, Barangay Biasong, Dipolog City. Suspect was identified as Jerry Sumambod, 37 years old married, fisherman and a resident of Dapdap, Polanco, Zamboanga del Norte while victim was identified as Rex Baltazar Carcallas Cañada, 29 years old single, fisherman and a resident of Riverside, Barangay Biasong, Dipolog City. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, victim was having a drinking session together with the suspect and their neighbors. A witness heard the victim spoke “dagkot ra ko sigarilyo” then the victim spoke again uttering “gisumbag man ko nimo Jer” after which, the victim realized he was stabbed three times on his rights side of his back. The suspect fled away from the area heading towards Corazon Aquino Hospital. Thereafter, the victim was then brought to Corazon Aquino Hospital for medical attention. The suspect was arrested after he surrendered to the security guard Felix D. Decherdo and one Rene Laclac, watchman who was on duty at Corazon Aquino hospital whom also turned-over the weapon used by the suspect. The suspect is now under the custody of Dipolog City Police Station for filing of appropriate charges in court of law.
4 Drug Suspects Arrested in Zamboanga City
₱ 75,480.00 worth of Shabu seized from 4 drug suspects in separate drug buy-bust operations conducted by police stations under Zamboanga City Police Office on June 3, 2021.
Amina Barahim y Abdurahim a.k.a “Amina”, 40 years old, female, married, jobless, elementary level, resident of Sitio Malasugat, Barangay Sangali, Zamboanga City was arrested by Station Drug Enforcement Team of Zamboanga City Police Station 3 in drug buy-bust operation at Sitio Malasugat, Barangay Sangali, Zamboanga City at 3:40 p.m. of June 3, 2021. Recovered from her possession were one (1) gray/black leather coin purse, seven (7) heat sealed plastic sachets of suspected Shabu with an estimated value of ₱ 6,800 weighing 1 gram and two (2) bills of ₱ 100.00 as marked money. He is now under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 3 in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered items will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.
Philip Jayson Jayari y Roca a.k.a. “PJ”, 33 years old, male, married, fisherman, high school undergraduate, and a resident of Barangay Upper Calarian, Zamboanga City was arrested by Station Drug Enforcement Team of Zamboanga City Police Station 7 in drug buy-bust operation at Sitio Pasay, Barangay San Roque, Zamboanga City at 5:15 p.m. of June 3, 2021. Recovered from his possession were twelve (12) heat sealed plastic sachets of suspected Shabu with an estimated value of ₱ 31,280.00 weighing 4.6 grams, one (1) brown coin purse and two (2) bills of ₱ 100.00 as marked money. He is now under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 7 in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered items will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.
Edwina Batulan y Renacia, 52 years old, female, married, high school graduate, jobless, resident of Tambucho Drive, Barangay Camino Nuevo Zamboanga City was arrested by PNP personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 6 in drug buy-bust operation at Tambucho Drive, Barangay Camino Nuevo, Zamboanga City at 6:05 p.m. of June 3, 2021. Recovered from his possession were six (6) heat sealed plastic sachets of suspected Shabu with an estimated value of ₱ 3,400.00 weighing 0.5 grams, one (1) black coin purse and two (2) bills of ₱ 100.00 as marked money. Subject person is now under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 6 in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered items will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.
Dascar Kahal y Ballio, a.k.a. “Akkay”, 45 years old, male, separated, elementary level, driver of Barangay Recodo, Zamboanga City was arrested by Station Drug Enforcement Team of Zamboanga City Police Station 11 in drug buy-bust operation at Barangay Baliwasan, Zamboanga City at 9:15 p.m. of June 3, 2021. Recovered from his possession were seven (7) sachets of suspected Shabu with an estimated value of ₱ 34,000.00 weighing 5 grams and one (1) bill of ₱ 500.00 as marked money. Subject person is now under the custody of the said police station in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered items will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.
