Assault upon a Frontliner in Licomo

A mauling incident transpired at Barangay Licomo, Zamboanga City at about 3:00PM of February 13, 2021 wherein victim Aldrin Suazon Y Arellano, City Health Office personnel, 47 years old, male, married was mauled by a certain Bobby Daniel Y Maningo, 30 years old, male, married and a resident of Barangay Tictapul, Zamboanga City. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim was assigned at the boundary of the said Barangay as frontliner, in line with his duty, he denied the entry of suspect for the reason that pertinent papers (RT PCR Test) he presented was already expired. Thereafter, another duty CHO personnel confiscated the pertinent papers of Mr Daniel for health protocol purposes in which he misunderstood the action and started arguing to Mr. Suazon. Accordingly, suspect uttered “basta ZETA hinde gayod bo ta manda pasa” (you deliberately deny entry on members of ZETA).  Moreover, at 1:05PM of February 14, 2021, suspect went to the residence of the victim to confront him which later turned into a heated argument. Thereat, suspect took a metal pipe and beat the victim inflicting injuries on the different parts of his body. Further, the victim was brought to Zamboanga City Medical Hospital for treatment after he filed a complaint in Zamboanga City Police Station 1 while a manhunt operation is being conducted for the arrest of the suspect.

 

Top 7 Most Wanted Person of San Roque, Arrested

Police personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 7 conducted law enforcement operation through service of warrant of arrest at Tabuk, Barangay San Jose Gusu, Zamboanga City at 9:30AM of February 14, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of top 7 most wanted person, Jul-Amin Majid Y Julkipli, 28 years old, male, married and a resident of Pantano, Barangay San Roque, Zamboanga City. He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of Frustrated Murder with Criminal Case # 46494 issued by Presiding Judge Hon. Roncesvalles B Filoreo, Branch 32, Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region, Zamboanga City dated January 12, 2021 with bail bond recommended amounting to P200, 000.00. He is presently under the custody of the said police station prior turn over to the court concerned.

 

Stabbing Incident

A stabbing incident occurred at Purok Bougamel, Barangay Poblacion, Margosatubig, Zamboanga Del Sur at 9:45 PM of February 14, 2021, wherein victim Arnold Candelanza Pobresa, 22 years old, male, single, fisherman and a resident of the said place was stabbed by suspect identified as Melchor Canilang Rosales, 38 years old, male, single, fish dryer worker. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, the two were having heated conversation after playing card game (Poker) because the suspect confronted and threatened the victim as his way of dirty playing. As the victim decided to buy some cigarettes together with his cousin Ronald Chua, he was warned by the bystander and was told that the suspect was carrying a sharp object but they ignored it as they decided to play Poker again. The suspect approached the victim and stabbed him twice using a scissor hitting the head and back of his body. Victim was and immediately rushed to Margosatubig Regional Hospital for treatment. Suspect was then arrested after manhunt operation conducted by the responding police personnel and was brought to Margosatubig Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.

 

Man arrested in a Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Tugbungan

Police personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 2 conducted anti-illegal drugs operation at Climaco St., Barangay Tugbungan, Zamboanga City at 1:20PM of February 14, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Salvador Hernandez Y Tan, 40 years old, male, single, unemployed, college undergraduate and a resident of Pakisama Dr., Barangay Talon-talon, Zamboanga City. Confiscated from his possession were two (2) heat sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected Shabu with an estimated value of P3, 000.00 weighing more or less 0.44 grams and two (2) pieces of P100.00 bill as marked money. He is now under the custody of the said police station in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered items will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.

 

Truckman Arrested in Kabasalan in a Drug Buy-Bust Operation

Joint elements of Kabasalan Municipal Police Station together with Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency personnel conducted buy-bust operation at Purok A, Brgy. Poblacion, Kabasalan, Zamboanga Sibugay at 4:15 PM of February 14, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of George Bulay-Og Sabanal Jr, 23 years old, male, single, truckman, elementary undergraduate and a resident of the same place. Confiscated during the operation were: four (4) pieces of heat sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline granules believed to be Shabu with estimated weigh of 0.5 gram and value of P3,400.00, one (1) piece white paper, one (1) piece plastic sachet and one (1) piece of five hundred peso bill (P500.00) with serial number hl760230 (buy-bust money). Arrested person and confiscated items are now under the custody of the said police station for proper disposition. A case for violation of RA 9165 is being prepared against the suspect.

 

Vehicular Accident

A vehicular accident transpired along national highway, Purok 4, Brgy Maganay, Buug, Zamboanga Sibugay involving two (2) single motorcycle described as follows: Yamaha Mio, color blue/black, without plate number, driven by Kevin S. Lapuhapu, 30 years old, single, and a resident of Purok 3, Brgy Maganay, Buug, Zamboanga Sibugay; and Skygo, color black, no plate number driven by Edwin Carcedo, 34 years old, married and a resident of Purok 18, Poblacion, Buug, Zamboanga Sibugay. Initial investigation revealed that both single motorcycles were travelling on opposite direction and upon reaching on said place of accident, the Yamaha Mio turned left and accidentally had a head on collision with the opposing Skygo motor vehicle. As a result, both motorcycles and its drivers crashed and fell to the ground causing injuries on different parts of their bodies. They were brought to the hospital for medication while both motorcycles involved were brought to Buug Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.

 

Traffic Accident

A traffic accident transpired along the National Highway of Bogabongan, Leon B. Postigo, Zamboanga del Norte at about 7:00 PM, February 14, 2021 involving a pedestrian, identified as Ekryan Jade Cuevas Paisano, 9 years old, single, filipino, minor, Grade IV Student and a resident of said place, and a Black Honda TMX single motorcycle driven by Michael Panagil Romanggar, 15 years old, single, Filipino, Grade IX Student and a resident of Brgy. Manil, Leon B. Postigo Zamboanga del Norte. Investigation conducted disclosed that prior to the incident, the said motorcycle was travelling from Brgy. Manil bound to Brgy. Delusom, both from Leon B Postigo Zamboanga del Norte, upon reaching the place of incident, the motor vehicle accidentally bumped the pedestrian who was crossing to the other side of the road causing both the driver and pedestrian to fall on the ground as a result of the impact, inflicting injuries to both parties. They were brought to Rural Health Unit of Leon B. Postigo Zamboanga del Norte and further forwarded to Zamboanga del Norte Medical Center for futher treatment.

 

Traffic Accident

A traffic accident transpired along the National Highway of Brgy Comunal, Liloy Zamboanga del Norte at about 11:30 PM of February 14, 2021 involving two (2) motorcycles described as follows: Bajaj Motorcab driven by Ramil Rosite Amamag-id, 48 years old, married, EMCOR Employee, and Rusi 150 CC motorcycle driven by Jerome Gandel Emoc, 26 years old, single, construction worker, both are residents of resident of Purok Santa Cruz, Baybay, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte. Investigation disclosed that while the Rusi 150 was travelling from Barangay Communal bound to Barangay Baybay, both of Liloy Zamboanga del Norte and upon reaching the place of incident, The vehicle of Mr Emoc suddenly bumped the Bajaj Motorcab which was parked beside the road causing the latter to fall on the road inflicting injuries on the different parts of his body. Mr Emoc was brought to Liloy Integrated Health District Hospital for medical treatment while both vehicles and the driver of Bajaj Motorcab are now in custody of Liloy Municipal Police Station.
