Police Manhunt Yields 5 Most Wanted Persons

Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet – In its efforts to track down persons wanted by the law, Cordillera police arrested five most wanted persons including two in provincial level, all listed for the second quarter of 2021, in a three-day manhunt operation from April 5 to 7, 2021.

In Baguio City, intensive monitoring of intel operatives resulted in the arrest of no. 6 most wanted person at the provincial level (Ifugao PPO) in Lakandula Street, Baguio City on April 5, 2021. The arrested person was identified as Joseph Acibon Blas, 73, a native of Banaue, Ifugao. Blas is accused of the crime of homicide committed in 1999 docketed under criminal case no. 92.

Suspect Agustin Manguera Madrigal Jr., 53, a security guard listed as No. 6 most wanted in station level of Naguilian Road Police Station (PS1), was arrested at Lower Lourdes Extension, Baguio City on April 6, 2021 by virtue of warrant of arrest for three counts of acts of lasciviousness in relation to RA 7610 (“Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act.”)

Moreover, the number 10 most wanted person for the City Level (Baguio CPO), Edward Jampon Mendoza, 24, carpenter, was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest on April 7, 2021 for the crime of frustrated homicide.

The suspect was nabbed with the help of a confidential informant who revealed that he was staying at a lodge in km. 4, Marcos Highway, Baguio City.

In Apayao, with the help of a concerned citizen from the Barangay who provided information to operatives, Hansel Pudoc Sibay, 24, listed as No. 6 most wanted person in the provincial level (Apayao PPO), was arrested at Sitio Dangla, Barangay Kumao, Kabugao, Apayao on April 7, for the crime of rape he allegedly committed on July 2020.

Meanwhile, in Mountain Province, the joint tracker teams on April 6 arrested the No.7 most wanted person at the city level (Tabuk CPS), Efren Manadao Ganggangan, 24, of sitio  Addang, Barangay Bunot, Paracelis, suspect for violation of RA 7610.

Arrested wanted persons were brought to the respective lead operating units for proper disposition. (PROCOR RPIO)
