Surigao City – For salaried employees, a life of unbridled luxury on board a pleasure craft is something one can only dream of.

This Valentine’s Day however, some employees of PMO Surigao got a chance to experience what it’s like to live on board a luxury yatch and pretend like the world’s one percenters – at least for a couple of hours – as they were invited on board and treated with an impromptu “Valentines Merienda” by the kind and friendly owners.

The ship’s classy stylings, beautiful furnishings and luxurious seating creates an elegant and comfortable atmosphere that simply wowed them.

To prepare for a long 14-day voyage to Brisbane, Australia, the Luxury Yacht Silent World II makes a port call at the Port of Surigao for watering, refueling and to replenish necessary provisions.

The owners, Arlene Permelona and her husband, Retired Royal Australian Navy Officer Barry Jones said that they chose the Port of Surigao to get provisions owing to its ideal location in Eastern Mindanao’s Pacific seaboard and availability of watering and bunkering services.

Permelona added that they have just acquired the pleasure craft from Japan and after a brief stopper in Mindoro Occidental, her hometown, the ship proceeded to the Port of Surigao for provisions before embarking on a 14-day sail to Brisbane, Australia.

With a length overall (LOA) of 40 meters, Silent World II was built by Christensen – a renowned American builder of luxury pleasure crafts. She has a cruising speed of 11 knots, a maximum speed of 14 knots and a range of 2,500 nautical miles.

Silent World II’s interior layout sleeps up to 8 guests in 3 rooms, including a master suite, she is also capable of carrying up to 6 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
